Job Description
Seeking a detail-oriented person to assist Circulation Services with the shelving of library materials in the Children’s Room. Duties include organizing and shelving library materials, locating materials requested by other libraries, shifting materials, shelf reading, occasional cleaning of library shelves, and other relevant duties as assigned. Physical Requirements: Must be able to walk, stand, bend, crouch, and reach to shelve materials for several hours at a time. Must be able to push book carts, up to 170 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close and distance vision. Hours: 8 hours per week. Schedule includes evenings and Saturday shifts. Salary: $16.18 - 19.87/ hr. Candidates can expect to start in the lower half of the range. Benefits: No benefits. Qualifications and Experience: Must be at least 14 years of age and enrolled in high school. Must pass a shelving test.
