Please visit our website to read more about our business: https://www.tmf-group.com Discover the role Build and maintain relationships with local and international clients, advisors, banks, and regulatory bodies Provide day-to-day financial, accounting, and administrative support to client entities Assist in maintaining accounting records, including journal entries and financial data Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and client-specific reports Assist in cash management activities, including bank administration and payment processing Prepare and support reporting to regulatory authorities such as the Chamber of Commerce and Tax Authorities Work closely with senior team members and support ongoing projects Maintain accurate client files and ensure proper documentation is in place Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders to support reporting and compliance processes Identify discrepancies or issues and escalate where appropriate Support the preparation of tax-related documentation (e.g. corporate income tax, VAT where applicable) Assist in monitoring outstanding receivables and support billing processes Participate in client meetings where required and provide support in stakeholder communication Ensure all work is delivered in line with internal procedures and regulatory requirements Key Responsibilities Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) 1–3 years of relevant experience or a strong internship background in accounting or finance Good understanding of accounting principles (Dutch GAAP and/or IFRS) Interest in financial processes, reporting, and compliance environments Experience or exposure to financial systems (e.g. SAP, CaseWare, Dynamics) is a plus Fluent Dutch and strong English communication skills (written and verbal) High attention to detail and a structured approach to work Strong willingness to learn and develop within an accounting environment Good interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in an international team environment Key Requirements Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) 1–3 years of relevant experience or a strong internship background in accounting or finance Good understanding of accounting principles (Dutch GAAP and/or IFRS) Interest in financial processes, reporting, and compliance environments Experience or exposure to financial systems (e.g. SAP, CaseWare, Dynamics) is a plus Fluent Dutch and strong English communication skills (written and verbal) High attention to detail and a structured approach to work Strong willingness to learn and develop within an accounting environment Good interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in an international team environment What’s In It For You 26 holidays per year (40 hour work week) Pension plan (statutory own contribution – 1% of the pension base) Collective healthcare insurance Company fitness Company language training Commuting allowance, based on 0,23 cent per km (max 30 km one-way) or a NS Business Card Accident insurance WGA gap insurance WIA gap insurance (disability insurance) ANW gap insurance (nabestaanden overbruggingspensioen) Overtime compensation Bike plan Homework allowance – EUR 2,15 per day EUR 200,00 TMF Health Budget annually We’re looking forward to getting to know you!

Core Responsibilities

The Junior Accounting Officer will provide day-to-day financial and administrative support to client entities, including maintaining accounting records and preparing financial statements. They will also liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and accurate reporting.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline and possess 1–3 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Dutch and English, along with a solid understanding of accounting principles like Dutch GAAP or IFRS, is required.
