Career Runway by ZARA is a talent initiative for experienced retail leaders who are ready to bring their experience, perspective and ambition. After an initial interview with our Talent Team, selected candidates from across the Netherlands will be invited to our Talent Day in Amsterdam on 14 October 2026. TALENT DAY We have designed a full-day experience where, through dedicated experience rooms, you will discover our approach to People Leadership, Customer Experience, Product Awareness, Visual Merchandising and Store Operations. Facilitated by our ZARA expert groups, these interactive experiences will give you the opportunity to meet our teams, and demonstrate how you think, collaborate, make decisions and create impact. NEXT STEPS Based on the Talent Day, you may be considered for a direct match with an available in-store managerial opportunity in one of our ZARA stores in the Netherlands or receive an invitation to join our 7-month High Potential Programme, starting in October. The programme is a 360° development journey across people leadership, customer experience, product, visual image, operations and commercial performance. Throughout the journey, you will be supported by a dedicated mentor and regular feedback moments. As store leadership opportunities may arise in different locations, flexibility to relocate across the Netherlands after the programme and take on managerial opportunities in our ZARA stores is an important part of the journey. WHAT YOU BRING We are looking for current Store Managers, Assistant Store Managers, Department Managers or experienced retail leaders at an equivalent level. You are customer-focused, commercially aware and inspired by the pace and creativity of fashion retail. You communicate confidently in Dutch and English. READY TO TAKE YOUR NEXT STEP? Core Responsibilities

The role involves participating in a talent initiative to demonstrate leadership, decision-making, and operational skills within ZARA stores. Successful candidates will manage store operations, drive commercial performance, and lead teams to deliver excellent customer experiences.

Requirements

Candidates must be experienced retail leaders, such as Store Managers or Assistant Store Managers, with strong commercial awareness. Applicants must be fluent in Dutch and English and possess full authorization to work in the EU.
