This is an On Call position We have a fantastic position for a Cook in our new restaurant Ristorante 51. Responsibilities As a Cook you’re on the first rung of the ladder to becoming a great cook. This is your big chance to learn all there is to know about your trade. Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food. Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables. Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients. Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist. Prepare cold foods. Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers. Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently. Monitor food quality while preparing food. Set-up and break down work station. Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles. Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment. Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food. Core Responsibilities

The cook is responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking food according to recipes and quality standards, and maintaining a clean kitchen environment. They must also monitor food quality, manage workstation setup, and ensure proper food service.

Requirements

The ideal candidate must have at least one year of experience and be fluent in English. They should be flexible, creative, well-organized, and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
