For Akkodis, I’m looking for two Infrastructure Network Engineers to support Thales in Hengelo, working on the Operator Classroom Trainer (OCT) for the GM200 radar system. The OCT is a training environment in which multiple student computers run GM200 radar software and are controlled through a teacher computer. In this role, you’ll help build, configure and support the infrastructure behind this environment. What will you be working on? • Installing and configuring Linux/Red Hat environments • Network installation, configuration and support • Working with Ansible • Setting up PCs, switches and cabling • Installing and configuring large software packages • Creating carriers for software installation • Troubleshooting and providing IT/infrastructure support • Creating clear user documentation What are we looking for? • Experience with Linux and Red Hat • Experience with Ansible • Hands-on experience with network installation and configuration • Experience installing and configuring software packages • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, (Technical) Informatics, Computer Science or a related field • Good command of English • A proactive, flexible and result-oriented mindset • Someone who enjoys working hands-on as part of a technical team Experience with C, C++ and/or Python is a plus, but not required. Core Responsibilities

You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and supporting the Linux-based infrastructure and network environment for the GM200 radar training system. This includes managing software packages, hardware setup, and providing ongoing technical troubleshooting and documentation.

Requirements

Candidates must have hands-on experience with Linux, Red Hat, Ansible, and network configuration. A degree in a technical field such as Computer Engineering or Computer Science is required.
