Join our small international team and help improve online training for seafarers and offshore professionals worldwide. About STCW.online We develop and deliver online courses that help maritime and offshore professionals build their knowledge and meet training and safety requirements. English is our working language, and our customers come from around the world. We are the online academy of Emergency Control Maritime Training (ECMT), which is the formal employer. Your role Your first major project will be reviewing and improving draft e-learning courses. Using AI and other digital tools, you will help make lessons clear, well structured and engaging. You will also identify content that needs further checking and coordinate questions with the team. You get the courses ready for publishing. You will join our team members in providing support to our clients and help to solve our challenges. As you develop in the role, you will: • Create and improve content for e-learning courses and social media. • Select or create suitable photographs, illustrations and other learning materials. • Help resolve more complex questions from learners and customers. • Suggest improvements to our courses and ways of working. • Contribute to new projects as the business grows. What you bring You may be a recent graduate or already have relevant experience. We are looking for someone who: • Has excellent written and spoken English. • Holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree, for example in communications, marketing, education or maritime studies, or comparable, like arts. Or show us you are fit for the job. • Writes clearly and pays enough attention to detail. • Enjoys working with software and exploring AI tools, while critically checking their output. • Takes initiative, works independently and knows when to discuss decisions with colleagues. • Is interested in the maritime sector and willing to learn. • Can work at our Rotterdam office an average of at least four days per week. Experience with e-learning, content creation or AI tools is welcome, but not essential. You must be entitled to work in the Netherlands when employment starts. STCW.online cannot provide visa or work permit sponsorship. What we offer • A gross monthly salary of €3,500–€4,000 for a full-time position, depending on qualifications and experience, excluding holiday allowance. • An initial contract of three to six months, with the opportunity for permanent employment. • 25 days of annual leave based on full-time employment. • Flexible working hours, with an average of at least four days per week in our Rotterdam office. • A small international team, with room for your ideas and support as you learn. • A company laptop and a phone allowance or company provided. • Reimbursement of travel expenses and free on-site parking. Core Responsibilities

Requirements

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's or master's degree and possesses excellent written and spoken English skills. You should be comfortable working with software and AI tools while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
