About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic Data Science team. In this role, you will lead internal initiatives to develop innovative AI products and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on client projects. Your expertise will be crucial in making architectural and design decisions for cloud environments, building scalable production-level machine learning solutions, and guiding data scientists in deploying their models effectively. You will also have opportunities to share your knowledge through training sessions, internal meetings, and external events. Additionally, you will contribute to thought leadership by writing articles, presenting at conferences, and participating in press activities related to your domain of expertise. Qualifications MSc degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Embedded Systems, or related field 2-4 years of experience in developing production-quality machine learning and deep learning pipelines and models Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals and expertise in specific domains such as Computer Vision, Deep Learning, or NLP Proficiency in Python programming, with experience in at least one of the following languages: Scala, C++, or Java Hands-on experience with database management languages such as SQL or PostgreSQL Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure Familiarity with Unix-based command line tools and DevOps practices including Git, Docker, and Kubernetes Knowledge of big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Databricks Experience mentoring or coaching other engineers Prior experience in management consulting is a strong plus Willingness to travel and work with local and international clients Fluent in spoken and written English; proficiency or strong willingness to learn Dutch is preferred Responsibilities Lead and mentor an internal team in the development of AI and machine learning products Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on client projects to provide expert guidance on AI solutions Design and make architectural decisions for cloud-based environments to support scalable AI applications Develop and deploy production-level machine learning and AI solutions with robust software engineering practices Guide data scientists in scaling up models, including parallelization, optimization, tuning, testing, and deployment Conduct training sessions, lead internal meetings, and organize external events to promote knowledge sharing Participate actively in team meetings and workshops with clients to ensure project success Contribute to thought leadership by writing articles, presenting at conferences, and engaging with media outlets Benefits Opportunity to work within an international, diverse, and inclusive environment Collaborative and innovative working atmosphere with professional colleagues Personal development plans with regular follow-ups and training opportunities Competitive salary package complemented by benefits such as mobility budget, hospital insurance, and performance-related bonuses Engagement in meaningful projects with global impact Flexible working arrangements and support for work-life balance Equal Opportunity Sia is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
