Start date: Flexible Closing date: Open until filled Hours: 40 hours/week (1 FTE) Indicative gross monthly salary (1 FTE): €3,200 - €3,800 Location: Apeldoorn and/or Amsterdam (we are recruiting up to three full-time lecturers: one in Amsterdam and two in Apeldoorn) Have you recently been awarded a PhD, or are you about to complete your doctoral studies? This position is suitable for recent PhD graduates and early career academics seeking to develop their academic career in a family-like business school where internationalisation, diversity, and student-centered education are at the core of everything we do Face-to-face classroom teaching is at the heart of this role. We expect the successful candidate to be present at our Apeldoorn or Amsterdam location five days per week and to become an active member of the academic community. We are looking for candidates with expertise in fields such as: Accounting/Finance (including Data Analytics) Management/Marketing Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Small Business Economics Tasks & Responsibilities Teaching: Face-to-face classroom teaching, including lesson preparation, assessment design, exam marking, administration, student communication, and all related educational activities. Supervision and Tutoring: Supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students in the completion of their final graduation assignments and supporting students throughout their study journey as a process tutor or study advisor. Research and Scholarly Activities: Collaborate on, support, and initiate research activities; contribute to publications in peer-reviewed academic journals; participate in research projects; and support Wittenborg's research centre through workshops, seminars, and other scholarly activities. Lecturers are normally expected to publish at least two peer-reviewed publications within a six-year period. Professional Development & Institutional Contribution: In line with the candidate's profile and personal development goals, gradually develop into a core academic team member by taking on broader responsibilities in areas such as academic quality, accreditation, curriculum development, research, academic governance, external engagement, and institutional service through participation in committees, boards, projects, and other institutional initiatives. Department: School of Business Requirements In possession of a valid residence permit with the right to work in the Netherlands, and/or eligible for a highly skilled migrant residence permit following graduation or an orientation year in the Netherlands. Residing in the Netherlands within reasonable travelling distance of either our Apeldoorn or Amsterdam location. Recently awarded a PhD degree (normally within the past 12 months) or expected to complete PhD studies within the next 12 months. Candidates who already hold a PhD are welcome to apply if they are actively engaged in scholarly activities and publishing in peer-reviewed journals listed in Scopus, Harzing, or ABS journal rankings. Passionate about teaching and creating engaging, interactive, and student-centered learning experiences. Teaching experience in relevant subject areas such as Accounting/Finance (including Data Analytics), Management, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Small Business, Economics, and/or AI/Cybersecurity/Informatics. Preference will be given to candidates who have publications in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus or recognised through Harzing or ABS journal rankings. B2 or higher proficiency in Dutch is considered an advantage. Core Responsibilities

Deliver face-to-face undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, prepare and assess coursework, supervise graduation assignments, and support students throughout their studies. Collaborate on research and publications, contribute to scholarly activities, and gradually take on broader academic and institutional responsibilities.

Requirements

Applicants must have recently completed a PhD or expect to complete one within 12 months, have the right to work in the Netherlands, and live within reasonable travelling distance of Apeldoorn or Amsterdam. Candidates should be passionate about interactive, student-centered teaching and have relevant subject expertise; peer-reviewed publications are preferred, and Dutch proficiency at B2 or higher is an advantage.
