As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will take a leading role throughout the complete engineering lifecycle, from requirements and concept development to detailed design, prototyping, verification and production. Your responsibilities will include: Generate and evaluate concepts for mechanical modules and systems Translate customer and system requirements into robust mechanical designs Break complex designs into modules and coordinate the work of other engineers Coach and guide junior mechanical engineers Perform hands-on 3D/2D CAD and FEM/FEA modelling Review technical designs and documentation Work closely with customers, suppliers, Supply Chain and Operations Support Sales during customer acquisition and project development Participate in prototype builds and improve designs based on testing and verification Ensure the final design is ready for a smooth transition into series production What are we looking for Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field Around 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in precision mechanics or high-tech systems Experience working at Senior, Lead or comparable technical level Strong experience with 3D/2D CAD and FEM/FEA Experience with complex machinery, mechatronic systems or precision engineering is highly valued A creative mindset combined with a practical, hands-on approach Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Experience coaching or mentoring other engineers Professional proficiency in English, Dutch is a good bonus What we offer Competitive Salary & Benefits: Including a laptop, mobile phone, full travel allowance, and pension plan. Core Responsibilities

Lead mechanical engineering across the full lifecycle, from requirements and concept development through detailed design, prototyping, verification, and production transition. Develop and review designs, coordinate and mentor engineers, collaborate with customers and internal teams, and support testing and customer acquisition.

Requirements

A bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field and around 10 or more years of mechanical engineering experience are required. Candidates should have senior-level experience, strong 3D/2D CAD and FEM/FEA skills, and effective communication and mentoring abilities; experience in precision mechanics, high-tech systems, complex machinery, or mechatronics is valued.
