Digital Marketing Intern Gain hands-on experience in digital marketing within an international healthcare organisation Are you studying marketing, communications, digital media, or commercial economics and looking for an internship where you'll do more than just observe? At the European Hematology Association (EHA), you'll join a team of experienced marketing and communications professionals and gain hands-on experience delivering digital campaigns, managing online communities, creating content, and analysing performance. Your work will help connect healthcare professionals across Europe and support initiatives that ultimately contribute to better patient care. This is a practical internship where you'll be trusted with real projects, supported by an experienced team, and exposed to the full marketing journey from planning through to execution and reporting. What you'll be doing As a Digital Marketing Intern, you'll work across a wide range of marketing activities, including: Digital Campaigns Support the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns across email, social media, web, and community channels. Help coordinate campaign assets and planning. Learn how integrated campaigns are built, managed, and measured. Content & Storytelling Support the creation and publication of content for digital channels. Assist with social media planning, content calendars and scheduling. Help ensure consistent messaging and branding across platforms. Community Management Help manage EHA's online Community Platform. Engage with members and support initiatives that encourage participation and discussion. Identify opportunities to improve the member experience and platform engagement. Analytics & Insights Track campaign performance and engagement metrics. Prepare reports and dashboards. Turn data into practical recommendations that help improve future campaigns. Research & Innovation Keep an eye on digital marketing trends, emerging platforms, and best practices. Research audience behaviour and competitor activities. Bring fresh ideas and perspectives to the team. Team Collaboration Work closely with colleagues across marketing, membership, education, events, and digital teams. Contribute to projects that support EHA's strategic objectives. What you'll learn By the end of your internship, you'll have practical experience in: Digital marketing campaign execution Email marketing and marketing automation Community and audience engagement Content planning and social media management Marketing analytics and reporting Marketing strategy and campaign planning Working in an international, professional organisation You'll leave with tangible experience and projects that you can showcase in future job applications. What we're looking for You are: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or HBO programme in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, Commercial Economics, or a related field. Curious about digital marketing and eager to learn. Comfortable working with multiple projects at the same time. Organised, proactive, and willing to take initiative. A strong communicator with excellent English language skills. Interested in working in an international environment. Bonus points if you have experience with Social media content creation Canva, Photoshop, video editing, or basic design tools Email marketing platforms SEO or web content management Analytics tools such as Google Analytics or similar platforms No prior professional experience is required. Hybrid working, with at least two days per week in our office in The Hague. An internship allowance of €775 gross per month (based on 40 hours). A placement of 3 to 6 months. A working week of 32 to 40 hours. Practical requirements You must be enrolled at a recognised educational institution during the internship. You must be living in the Netherlands. Non-EU/EEA nationals must have the right to work in the Netherlands. This is a work-experience internship ("meewerkstage"). You should be available to start in October and commit to at least three months. Interested? Core Responsibilities
Support digital campaigns across email, social media, web, and community channels; create and schedule content; and help manage EHA’s online community. Track campaign performance, prepare reports and recommendations, research trends and audiences, and collaborate with teams across the organisation.
Requirements
Applicants must be enrolled in a relevant bachelor’s or HBO programme, live in the Netherlands, and be available to start in October for at least three months. They should have strong English communication skills, be organised and proactive, and be interested in digital marketing; prior professional experience is not required.
