About The Role We are seeking Lightning Protection Technician’s to support operations on global projects. Reporting to the project manager & site supervisor the Lightning Protection Technician is responsible for the day-to-day planning, coordination and control of LPI projects. The purpose of the role is to install lightning protection and earthing systems on a variety of structures across all forms of private, public, industrial, commercial & Data Centre sectors. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's success. This role requires international travel for up to 75% of working time to support overseas project delivery. What You'll Do Install lightning protection and earthing systems on Data Centres and variety of tall structures. This will involve working to pre-designed schemes including drawings, a risk assessment and method statement Undertake upgrades to existing lightning protection systems to specified instructions provided Accurately complete Company paperwork including point of work risk assessment, job sheets, marked up drawings, material schedules and timesheets and ensure this is returned to the office-based team Provide onsite communications and advice to either the client or managers of a project, ensuring the Company is professionally represented at all times Maintain a strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards at all times, ensuring all work is completed in a safe and compliant manner What You'll Need Proven experience working within construction industry or in a similar environment Electrical experience is advantageous but not essential Experience working on commercial and industrial projects Excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills Good knowledge and commitment to health and safety standards and protocols and good knowledge EQHS Management System Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages such as German Dutch, French, or Spanish would be advantageous but not required Safe Pass Manual Handling training Working At Height training IPAF training About LPI Group Since our establishment in 2011, Lightning Protection Ireland and Lightning Protection International have delivered cutting-edge lightning protection systems, earthing systems, and surge protection devices across the European data centre, pharmaceutical, commercial, and renewable energy sectors. Core Responsibilities

Install and upgrade lightning protection and earthing systems on data centres and other structures, following project drawings, risk assessments, and method statements. Coordinate day-to-day site work, complete project paperwork, communicate with clients and managers, and maintain health, safety, and environmental standards.

Requirements

Candidates should have proven construction or similar experience, ideally on commercial or industrial projects; electrical experience is advantageous but not essential. Strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and health and safety knowledge are required, along with Safe Pass, Manual Handling, Working at Height, and IPAF training; fluency in English is required.
