Based in Amsterdam, our Building Services team continues to grow as we secure major and complex projects across a range of sectors. We continue to implement and develop our integrated Building Information Modelling service (BIM) delivery in order to better serve our clients while continuing to drive improvements in our design quality and remain at the cutting edge of the market. We currently looking for an experienced BIM Coordinator / BIM Manager to join our multidisciplinary team. Reporting to the BIM Management Team Leader, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality BIM solutions across different types of projects. You will collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and project teams, helping to drive best practice, ensure model quality, and support the successful delivery of digitally enabled projects. As An BIM Coordinator At Arup, You Will Author and contribute to project BIM Execution Plans (BEPs). Establish and manage Common Data Environments (CDEs) for project teams. Set up and maintain Revit models, including the creation of project-wide federated models. Monitor, audit, and report on model quality, compliance, and performance. Manage and support clash detection processes, coordination reviews, and reporting. Prepare, facilitate, and chair Virtual Design Reviews (VDRs). Provide BIM guidance, technical support, and mentoring to multidisciplinary project teams. Promote BIM standards, workflows, and best practices in accordance with industry requirements and Arup methodologies. Support the implementation of digital delivery initiatives and continuous improvement of BIM processes. Qualifications We're looking for a highly motivated and technically proficient individual with a passion for sustainable building design. These are the essential skills and qualifications for the position: 4-8 years of experience as a BIM Coordinator or BIM Manager within a design, engineering, or consultancy environment. A degree in Structural, Building, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline. Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and/or Solibri for model coordination, visual reviews, clash detection, and quality assurance. Experience with Autodesk Forma and Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows. Strong understanding of BIM-based model and drawing production processes. Solid knowledge of industry standards and digital delivery frameworks, including ISO 19650. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Core Responsibilities

Develop and contribute to BIM Execution Plans, establish Common Data Environments, set up and maintain Revit and federated models, and monitor model quality and compliance. Coordinate clash detection and Virtual Design Reviews, provide technical guidance and mentoring, and promote BIM standards and continuous improvement across project teams.

Requirements

Requires 4–8 years of BIM Coordinator or BIM Manager experience in a design, engineering, or consultancy environment and a degree in a relevant engineering or architecture discipline. Candidates should be proficient in Revit, Navisworks and/or Solibri, have experience with Autodesk Forma and CDE workflows, understand BIM production processes and ISO 19650, and communicate effectively in English.
