Shape a future with purpose at Arup in Amsterdam Arup’s purpose, shared values and collaborative approach has set us apart for over 80 years, guiding how we shape a better world BIM Modeller – MEP As a BIM MEP Modeller, you will utilize Building Information Modelling (BIM) methodologies to facilitate the effective integration of design and construction processes across a variety of projects. Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will develop and maintain accurate, high-quality BIM models, coordinate across disciplines, and produce detailed construction documentation to support project execution. You will also promote best practices in BIM, ensuring model integrity, data accuracy, and adherence to project specifications, while contributing to the continuous enhancement of BIM workflows. Your responsibilities will include leveraging advanced modelling techniques, such as parametric design supported by scripting and coding, and overseeing the development of digital workflows that connect models and information flows across multiple service disciplines. Additionally, you will supervise junior team members and assist in establishing efficient processes for project delivery. Who are you? To Ensure That Arup Can Continue To Deliver Top Quality, We Are Looking For Candidates Who Meet At Least The Following Criteria A completed higher professional education (HBO) or university (WO) degree (e.g. HIT or civil engineering with a specialisation in building services engineering) You are a Revit building services engineering expert Extensive experience ( 2 to 3 years) as a building services BIM modeller, from conceptual design through to specifications and construction on Dutch projects Experience of and an affinity for highly complex technical installations is an advantage Experience with ‘BIM quality assurance’ tools such as Solibri and/or Navisworks An affinity for parametric design and a bidirectional link between BIM and analytical software Experience with, for example, Dynamo is an advantage Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English You are a team player, proactive and see yourself as an ambassador for your company. You will facilitate the coordination on such projects and undertake virtual design reviews to detect and address coordination issues in the model. Experience in using Common Data Environment (CDE) like Autodesk Forma and ISO 19650 folder Set up awareness. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high-quality standards, solve problems effectively, and ensure accuracy in all deliverables. BIM-modelleur – MEP Wat ga je doen Als BIM-MEP-modelleur maak je gebruik van Building Information Modeling (BIM)-methodieken om de effectieve integratie van ontwerp- en bouwprocessen in diverse projecten te faciliteren. In nauwe samenwerking met multidisciplinaire teams ontwikkel en onderhoud je nauwkeurige, hoogwaardige BIM-modellen, coördineer je tussen verschillende disciplines en stel je gedetailleerde bouwdocumentatie op ter ondersteuning van de projectuitvoering. Daarnaast promoot je best practices op het gebied van BIM, waarbij je de integriteit van modellen, de nauwkeurigheid van gegevens en de naleving van projectspecificaties waarborgt, terwijl je bijdraagt aan de voortdurende verbetering van BIM-workflows. Tot je verantwoordelijkheden behoren het toepassen van geavanceerde modelleertechnieken, zoals parametrisch ontwerpen ondersteund door scripting en codering, en het begeleiden van de ontwikkeling van digitale workflows die modellen en informatiestromen tussen verschillende vakgebieden met elkaar verbinden. Daarnaast begeleid je junior teamleden en help je bij het opzetten van efficiënte processen voor de oplevering van projecten. Om Ervoor Te Zorgen Dat Arup Topkwaliteit Kan Blijven Leveren, Zijn We Op Zoek Naar Kandidaten Die Minimaal Aan De Volgende Criteria Voldoen Een afgeronde hbo- of wo-opleiding (bijv. HIT of civiele techniek met een specialisatie in gebouwtechniek) Je bent een Revit-expert op het gebied van installatietechniek Ruime ervaring (2 tot 3 jaar) als BIM-modelleerder voor installatietechniek, van conceptontwerp tot bestek en uitvoering bij Nederlandse projecten Ervaring met en affiniteit voor zeer complexe technische installaties is een pré Ervaring met ‘BIM-kwaliteitsborgingstools’ zoals Solibri en/of Navisworks Affiniteit met parametrisch ontwerpen en een bidirectionele koppeling tussen BIM en analytische software Ervaring met bijvoorbeeld Dynamo is een pré Uitstekende communicatieve vaardigheden in het Nederlands en Engels Je bent een teamspeler, proactief en ziet jezelf als ambassadeur van je bedrijf. Je faciliteert de coördinatie bij dergelijke projecten en voert virtuele ontwerpbeoordelingen uit om coördinatieproblemen in het model op te sporen en op te lossen. Core Responsibilities

Develop and maintain accurate MEP BIM models, coordinate across disciplines, and produce construction documentation while ensuring model integrity, data accuracy, and compliance with project specifications. Apply parametric modeling and digital workflows, conduct virtual design reviews, and support junior team members and efficient project delivery processes.

Requirements

A completed higher professional or university degree in building services engineering or a related field, expert-level Revit skills, and 2–3 years of experience modeling building services for Dutch projects are required. Candidates should have strong Dutch and English communication skills and experience or affinity with BIM quality assurance, parametric design, CDEs, and multidisciplinary coordination; Dynamo and complex technical installations are advantageous.
