Accountant (medior-level/mid-level) Amsterdam, The Netherlands Full-Time 1-year contract, with a view to permanent Competitive salary, based on experience About the Role Green Boy Group is looking for an organized, detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team in Amsterdam. This is a broad, hands-on role centered on day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and payment operations across our group entities. You'll work closely with colleagues here in Amsterdam and with our team in Los Angeles, gaining real exposure to international, multi-currency finance from day one. You'll join a fully Amsterdam-based finance team of three to four colleagues, two of them senior, and work independently on day-to-day accounting while getting guidance from senior colleagues on the more complex matters. We're looking for candidates who already have the right to live and work in the Netherlands — unfortunately we're not able to sponsor visas for this role. Responsibilities Process accounts payable and receivable — invoices, payments, receipts, and follow-up on outstanding balances Maintain documentation and supporting evidence for accounting transactions and reporting Liaise with internal teams and vendors to resolve invoice, payment, and accounting queries Manage the group's weekly payment run and support cash flow forecasting Support the monthly close — reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and balance-sheet reviews Help prepare for external audits by compiling schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation Follow our accounting policies and internal controls, and flag discrepancies or risks to the senior finance controller Spot practical process improvements and help keep finance operations running smoothly Prepare accurate, on-time VAT and ICP returns in line with Dutch tax requirements Book transactions across multiple currencies and entities Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 3–5 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance administration Solid grasp of accounting principles (Dutch GAAP; US GAAP is a plus) Understanding of financial regulations and tax compliance requirements Strong analytical skills and confident communication in English Comfortable working with accounting software, ERP systems, and MS Office Nice to Have Experience with Odoo Understanding of multi-currency and intercompany transactions The Practicals (Applies to EU roles only) Competitive salary, based on experience 8% holiday allowance 25 vacation days based on full time employment 32–40 hours/week, based from our Amsterdam office with one remote day per week 1-year contract with the intention to make it permanent Pension plan and bike lease plan included NS business card for home-work travel Why Green Boy? Core Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting across group entities, including payables and receivables, weekly payment runs, multi-currency transactions, and accurate VAT and ICP returns. Support monthly close, audits, cash flow forecasting, internal controls, and practical improvements to finance operations.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and 3–5 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance administration experience are required. Candidates should understand accounting principles and tax compliance, communicate confidently in English, and be comfortable with accounting software, ERP systems, and MS Office; Odoo experience is a plus.
