Purpose of Role
The Interim (1 year temporary assignment) Sr. Professional, HRBP – Retail (EMEA) provides hands-on HR support to the retail organization, partnering closely with managers and HR teams to deliver effective people solutions. This role focuses on the execution of core HR processes, tier one employee relations support, and day-to-day guidance to retail leaders in the respective countries, ensuring consistent application of company policies and alignment with local employment regulations. This role reports to the Sr. Manager, HRBP – Corp & Retail
Your Impact
Business Partnering & Manager Support
- Provide first-line HR support, coaching, and guidance to District Managers and Store Managers across assigned countries on a broad range of people matters, HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Promote a positive employee experience by driving fair, consistent, and compliant people practices.
- Partner closely with HR Operations and the broader HR team to ensure effective delivery of HR support and services.
- Employee Relations & Performance ManagementManage routine employee relations matters, including performance concerns, conduct issues, absence management, and other workplace matters, partnering with HR Operations and Legal as appropriate.
- Support managers with performance-related documentation, coaching conversations, corrective actions, and follow-up plans.
- Escalate complex, high-risk, or sensitive employee relations matters to the Sr. Manager, HRBP and Legal partners as required.Support the execution of performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development planning.
HR Program Delivery
- Execute HR programs and initiatives in partnership with Centres of Excellence, including Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Learning & Development, and HR Operations.Partner with Talent Acquisition to support recruitment activities, including seasonal and volume hiring initiatives.
- Assist in identifying development needs and connecting employees with relevant learning and development opportunities.
- Support the consistent application of compensation, benefits, and HR policies across the retail population.
Operational Excellence & Compliance
- Support onboarding, offboarding, and key employee lifecycle activities to ensure a consistent teammate experience.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records relating to employee actions and HR processes.Ensure compliance with local employment legislation, company policies, and internal governance requirements, and support audits, policy implementation, and remediation activities in partnership with HR Operations, Legal, and business leaders.
- Monitor workforce trends and people-related risks within assigned countries, proactively identifying issues and recommending practical solutions to improve business performance, compliance, and teammate experience.
Change Management & Continuous Improvement
- Support the planning and execution of business and organizational changes within assigned countries, including store openings, closures, restructuring activities, and workforce transitions.
- Lead small-to-medium HR improvement initiatives within assigned countries to enhance compliance, operational effectiveness, and the teammate experience.
Qualifications
- 4 years of experience in HR retail business partner support.
- Experience supporting managers with employee relations and performance management topics.
- Good understanding of HR policies and employment practices (local market knowledge an advantage).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to build trust with frontline managers.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and follow-through.Ability to work in a structured environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Team-oriented mindset, with willingness to learn and grow within HR.
- Open to interim / temporary assignments (1 year)
Workplace Location
- Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Amsterdam office.
- Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week.

Base Compensation
€60,000.00-€80,000.00 EUR
Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
