Salesforce Administrator - Decommissioning Project
Key Skills
Job Description
Join Lepaya!
Lepaya is moving from Salesforce to a simpler internal CRM. We're looking for an experienced Salesforce Administrator to lead the safe decommissioning of our Salesforce instance over the next six months, while keeping the system running smoothly for our commercial teams until the switch is complete.
This is a hands-on, time-bound role with a clear goal: a clean, well-documented exit from Salesforce, with no loss of critical data and no disruption to the business.
What you'll do
Analysis and discovery
Audit the current Salesforce setup (objects, custom fields, flows, automations, reports, dashboards, integrations, user access) and document what is actually in use.
Map data flows and dependencies with connected systems (e.g. finance, marketing, delivery tools) together with Tech and flag risks before anything is switched off.
Work with commercial stakeholders to define which data, processes and reports must carry over to the new CRM, and which can be retired.
Decommissioning and migration
Partner with the internal tech team on the migration plan: data mapping, cleansing, deduplication and export.
Support test migrations and validate data integrity in the new system.
Define and run the phased shutdown of integrations, automations, user access and licences, in line with the agreed timeline.
Archive historical data in line with retention and GDPR requirements, keeping it accessible for legal, finance or audit needs.
Produce clear handover documentation for the tech team and business owners.
Business-as-usual support (until full decommission)
Provide day-to-day admin support to users (access, fixes, small changes, report requests), keeping new customisation to a strict minimum.
Keep the system stable and data quality acceptable until cut-over.
Support users through the transition by communicating changes and helping them adopt the new CRM.
What you bring
Proven experience as a Salesforce Administrator; Salesforce Admin certification is a plus.
Hands-on experience with a data migration or a system decommissioning or replacement project.
Strong analytical skills: you can untangle a mature, customised org and document it clearly.
Comfortable working closely with engineers on integrations, APIs and data exports.
Structured, autonomous and pragmatic, able to balance project delivery with ad-hoc support requests.
Fluent English
What success looks like after 6 months
Salesforce is fully decommissioned on schedule and licences are terminated.
All required data is migrated or archived, validated, and still accessible.
Commercial operations ran without disruption during the transition.
Documentation and handover are complete.
