Job Description

You'll work on real engineering projects across our portfolio companies, developing CAD models, technical drawings, assemblies, and design solutions that support physical systems being built and deployed. This is hands-on engineering work. You'll be expected to turn concepts into detailed designs, improve existing components, solve practical engineering problems, and help move designs from early-stage development toward manufacturing and implementation. Our group has spent thirty years building companies across New York, London, and Tokyo. Today, our teams operate from a 4,000 sqm campus in Canggu, Bali. Across the group, we have raised and deployed more than $150M and operate portfolio companies across energy, bioproduction, and AI infrastructure. Depending on team needs, current projects, and your interests, you may work across: Zero-X Thermochemical conversion and distributed energy, with 200+ systems live across 11 countries. Seraph Group Decentralized bioproduction combining AI, robotics, and synthetic biology on one platform. Gemino AI The AI infrastructure layer supporting systems and workflows across the group. Your CAD work may include: Creating and modifying 3D CAD models, parts, and assemblies Producing technical drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing documentation Designing mechanical components, enclosures, frames, and system layouts Reviewing existing designs and identifying opportunities for improvement Supporting prototyping, fabrication, assembly, and design validation Working with engineers and technical teams to solve practical design problems Preparing designs for manufacturing and real-world implementation The focus is not on academic exercises. You will work on designs connected to real companies, real equipment, and real engineering challenges. We're looking for candidates who: Have completed or are close to completing a university degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, CAD Engineering, or a closely related technical field Have a solid understanding of mechanical design, engineering principles, and technical drawing Have hands-on experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Inventor, AutoCAD, CATIA, Siemens NX), manufacturing processes, materials, and tolerances Have experience through university projects, internships, personal projects, or other practical engineering work Can work independently, learn quickly, and solve engineering problems Are able to work fully on-site in Bali for 4-6 months This internship can also be completed as part of a university internship requirement. We don't expect you to already know our full product range, but you should have a strong engineering foundation and design ability. Requirements

Candidates must have completed or be near completion of a degree in a relevant engineering or design field. You must have hands-on experience with CAD software and be able to work fully on-site in Bali for 4-6 months.
