About the role Blue Medical Devices is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician for a full-time, on-site position in Helmond. Your main objective is to keep our production equipment reliable, safe and future-proof. Through strong preventive maintenance, systematic troubleshooting and practical technical improvements, you help minimise unplanned downtime and reduce the need for recurring repairs. This is a hands-on role within a highly regulated medical-device production environment. You will work with a wide range of machinery, tooling and measuring equipment and support Production when technical issues arise. You understand what you can solve independently, when specialist support is required and when a machine must not be released. You will be part of the Engineering & R&D team and work closely with Production, Process Engineering, QA/RA, QC, external suppliers and Engineering colleagues within our international parent company Your responsibilities Respond to equipment breakdowns and personally carry out hands-on repairs on production machinery and tooling. Diagnose, repair and structurally resolve mechanical, electrical and pneumatic failures. Disassemble, inspect, adjust, reassemble and test equipment, and ensure repaired machines are safe and technically Analyse recurring failures, downtime and machine performance and perform root cause analyses where required. Implement technical improvements that increase machine reliability, safety, quality and availability. Coordinate external service providers and maintenance suppliers and monitor quality, planning and costs. Manage critical spare parts and tooling. Participate in and independently manage smaller technical improvement and maintenance projects. Review technical documentation and record maintenance, repairs and modifications in accordance with the QMS. Work closely with QA/RA and Process Engineering on change control, requalification and validation. Inform and train operators and ensure equipment is only released when it is safe and responsible to do so. What we are looking for At least 5 years of relevant practical experience in maintenance, mechanical engineering or technical service within a production environment. A completed technical education at MBO level 4 or bachelor’s level, for example in Mechanical Engineering,Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or a comparable discipline. Strong practical mechanical knowledge and the ability to independently diagnose and resolve machine-related problems. Experience with preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and systematic troubleshooting. The ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals and basic electrical schematics. Experience working with measuring equipment, maintenance records and technical documentation. A structured and quality-conscious way of working, including the discipline to document completed work accurately. The ability to remain calm under pressure, set priorities and make safe, well-considered technical decisions. A communicative, approachable and practical personality who works effectively with operators, engineers and external suppliers. Good command of English, both written and spoken. Good command of Dutch, or a genuine willingness to learn the language. Full-time availability and the willingness to work on-site in Helmond. A salary matching your knowledge and experience between €45.000-€60.000 A flexibility bonus of up to €5,000 per year. Regular working hours are from 07:30 to 16:00, with flexibility where needed. A one-year employment contract followed by a permanent contract, or an immediate permanent contract depending on your experience. 28 vacation days, in addition to all official Dutch public holidays. Core Responsibilities

Requirements

Candidates must have at least 5 years of practical experience in maintenance or mechanical engineering within a production environment. A technical education at MBO level 4 or bachelor's level in a relevant discipline is required, along with strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
