About the Role As an Operations & Control Officer, you will be a core member of the Operations team at the very heart of the company. In this role, you will play a vital role in enabling smooth trading operations across our full suite of environmental commodities and energy markets. You will provide trade execution and decision-making support to the Sales Trading desk and Risk team, manage contract workflows alongside Legal, and ensure accurate financial accounting bookings with Finance. You will also give input on optimizing our systems and procedures, collaborating closely with our Development team to enhance our proprietary trading infrastructure. Located directly on the bustling trading floor where the action happens, you’ll thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving environment communicating with stakeholders across the business. Main Responsibilities Trade Management: Responsible for entering, maintaining, and managing trade tickets and post-trade data across all active energy and environmental commodity markets. Trade Execution & Supply Chain Coordination: Responsible for the end-to-end execution and control of physical commodity transactions, including logistics, inventory management and contract administration Trade Operations Support: Provide end-to-end support to the desk, overseeing trade confirmations, certificate and asset deliveries, registry transfers, settlement coordination, reconciliations, and payment support. Issue & Lifecycle Resolution: Proactively liaise with counterparties and internal teams to manage outstanding trade lifecycle items, delivery flows, and operational queries smoothly. Risk & Reporting: Monitor daily trade flows, track potential operational or delivery risks, and assist with management reporting. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Legal, Risk, and Finance to ensure compliance, proper trade booking, and seamless process execution. System Optimization: Work alongside our Tech/Development team to continuously refine trading tools, automated workflows, and operational integrations. About You Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance or related field. 2+ years of experience in operations, trade support, or post-trade operations within a financial institution, energy company, or commodity trading firm. Experience or strong interest in energy markets, commodity trading flows, registry transfers, or post-trade operations is a strong plus. Experience in commodity trade operations with exposure to biofuels, feedstocks, grains & oilseeds, and energy markets, supporting efficient trade execution, contract management, logistics coordination, and operational processes are considered a huge advantage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail under tight deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work across internal desks and external counterparties. Proficiency in Excel; experience with SQL, VBA, Power BI, or general programming affinity is highly valued. Ability to work independently and prioritize dynamic tasks on a live trading floor. Core Responsibilities

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field and possess at least 2 years of experience in operations or trade support. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel, and the ability to work effectively on a fast-paced trading floor are required.
