About the role As we continue to grow, Coinmerce is looking for a Senior Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations, accounting practices, and reporting. You’ll be a key player in helping senior leadership make informed decisions and ensuring that we maintain compliance with the regulatory standards in the rapidly evolving crypto industry. Responsibilities: Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Lead the month-end close process and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and crypto-specific regulations.. Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts, aligning them with business goals. Analyze business performance and provide recommendations for financial efficiency, cost optimization, and revenue growth. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate reporting. Support recruitment, training, and development of the finance team to ensure alignment with company goals. Supervise the valuation and accounting of cryptocurrency transactions, ensuring proper tax treatment and compliance with standards. WHAT YOU BRING Previous experience in a similar financial controller role, with a focus on crypto or fintech industries. Experience within a fintech or crypto environment will be a great asset. Strong organizational abilities and communication skills in English. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Netsuite, Exact) is a plus. Proactive, creative in finding solutions, and comfortable working independently or in a team. A deep passion for financial management, accounting and an eye for detail.

Core Responsibilities

The Senior Financial Controller will oversee financial operations, including month-end closing, financial reporting, and compliance with accounting standards. They will also lead budgeting processes, analyze business performance, and supervise the accounting of cryptocurrency transactions.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has previous experience in a financial controller role within the crypto or fintech industry. Strong organizational skills, proficiency in ERP systems, and a deep passion for financial management are required.
