You will work at the heart of the energy transition, on the platform used by all Dutch grid operators to resolve congestion in the electricity grid. A crucial role in an internally developed microservice landscape on cloud infrastructure. Activities As a Mid-level Java Back-end Developer, you will be part of the growing DevOps teams and make a crucial contribution to the rapid development and reliable operation. Designing, building, and running various backend systems in the microservice landscape Ensure appropriate (minimal) documentation, reporting, and formalization Actively contribute to design and refinement sessions Applying best practices in the areas of security, quality, and availability Contribute to automated quality controls in the CI/CD pipeline Creating and executing automated unit and integration tests Participate in the regular DevOps incident management process To demand You have at least a completed MBO, HBO, or WO education. You have experience with Java 17+ and Spring Boot. You have experience using design patterns and methodologies and an opinion on Clean Code. You have insight into different test levels (unit tests, functional tests, API tests, mocking, end-to-end tests) You have an excellent command of the Dutch language, both written and spoken. Wishes You have experience with Kotlin You have experience with build & deployment tools such as: Maven, GIT, Docker, Ansible You have experience with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB. You have practical experience with CI/CD tooling and activation processes, hands-on experience with setting up and maintaining OTAP development chains and tooling, experience with Linux and scripting, insight into API implementations such as REST, insight into logging and monitoring with Elastic, LogStash, Kibana, and Grafana, insight into end-to-end testing with Playwright and Cucumber, and experience with CQRS Patterns and tooling (Axon Framework). Core Responsibilities

You will design, build, and maintain backend microservices to support the Dutch electricity grid congestion management platform. Additionally, you will participate in DevOps processes, including incident management and the maintenance of automated CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

Candidates must have experience with Java 17+, Spring Boot, and microservice architectures. Proficiency in Dutch is required, along with a background in testing methodologies and DevOps practices.
