The Global Commerce Strategy team are responsible for ensuring the organization is ready for the future, enabling our business leaders to make the right choices to grow in an ever changing environment. As an intern in the Global Strategy team you will have the opportunity to: Assist the Global Commercial Strategy team in identifying short- and long-term growth opportunities globally, and in key markets. Assist in delivering long-term strategic projects for HEINEKEN’s Executive Team. Work closely with other Global Commerce teams, including Global Brand and Category teams, to deliver data-driven recommendations and solutions. Liaise with Operating Companies (markets) worldwide to support portfolio, category, and innovation choices. Identify and highlight key trends shaping the beverage landscape's future. Build, deliver, and continually enhance regular reporting for marketing and category teams. Coordinate between local markets, data vendors, and the Global Commerce team for timely, accurate datasets. Generate actionable insights using syndicated sell-out data to support HEINEKEN's long-term goals. Analyze consumer behavior and purchase patterns to guide strategic decisions. Create impactful presentations and visual assets to communicate commercial strategy and performance. There are 6 full time members of the team. The intern will support across the team and have access to many different departments, leadership styles and projects. The team works collaboratively and includes all voices and points of view. The unique you! We need someone who is smart and a self-starter and can readily turn data and information into insight and action. We need someone who has experience of working with complex data tools and solving problems using data. We love team players, someone who is willing to get involved in all projects and enjoys learning from a variety of people and leadership styles. We believe that everyone has unique talents and are therefore looking for you! Open to those from all backgrounds, but we particularly welcome those studying business/ commerce, marketing, strategy, innovation, entrepreneurship, economics or statistics. We want someone who is up to date with social media, is interested in the world and aware of global trends. Conditions of HEINEKEN You are enrolled at an educational institution for the entire duration of your internship and can provide proof of enrollment for the current academic year during your onboarding. In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution. In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU. You reside in the Netherlands for the entire duration of your internship. Please note that HEINEKEN does not provide housing. You are in possession of a valid citizen service number (BSN). Our Internship Conditions During your time as an intern at HEINEKEN, you’ll work in a dynamic environment where growing and learning are at the heart of everything we do. Together, we brew your future step by step. In addition, we offer you: A full-time internship, starting on October or November 1, 2026 The duration of the internship is 5 or 6 months (to be agreed upon with your internship supervisor) Your home office will be located in Amsterdam At HEINEKEN, we work with a hybrid model, typically spending three days a week at the office and two days working from home You will receive a monthly internship allowance of €650 gross based on a 40-hour workweek You will earn 2 vacation days per month (based on a full-time internship) If you do not have a public transport student subscription, your commuting costs will be fully reimbursed Interested? Core Responsibilities
The intern will assist the Global Commercial Strategy team in identifying growth opportunities and delivering strategic projects for the Executive Team. They will also analyze consumer data, coordinate with global markets, and create impactful presentations to support long-term business goals.
Requirements
The ideal candidate is a dynamic student currently enrolled in an educational institution, preferably in fields like business, marketing, strategy, or economics. Applicants should be self-starters with strong data analysis skills, a passion for the beverage industry, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
