Psychologist/Psychotherapist
Key Skills
Job Description
Company Description ElephAi.health® is a preventive emotional intelligence platform designed to support mothers, fathers, and families through fertility journeys, pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood. The platform addresses significant gaps in maternal mental health, where traditional screening methods often miss deterioration between appointments. Powered by a proprietary Layered Feeling Intelligence (LFI) engine focused on Coherence, Presence, and Safety, ElephAi surfaces early emotional patterns and offers psychologically safe support between clinical visits. It functions as a non-diagnostic support tool that complements, rather than replaces, clinicians by providing a continuous, structured view of a person’s emotional state. The system integrates clinically validated screenings (such as EPDS and CORE-10), trauma-aware micro-interventions, emotional regulation support, and an always-on safety channel that escalates real risk to human responders. Role Description This is a remote volunteer role for a Psychologist/Psychotherapist contributing to ElephAi’s mission of preventive, emotionally intelligent support for parents and families. The role involves reviewing and interpreting emotional and clinical screenings, offering trauma-aware guidance on micro-interventions, and helping refine protocols that support emotional regulation and psychological safety. The Psychologist/Psychotherapist will collaborate with the product and clinical teams to ensure that content, workflows, and safety pathways align with best practices in mental health care. Responsibilities may include contributing to research-backed resources, advising on risk assessment and escalation criteria, and participating in case discussions or debriefs related to flagged safety events. The volunteer will engage in periodic remote meetings, documentation review, and asynchronous collaboration to help strengthen ElephAi’s preventive mental health ecosystem. Qualifications Strong foundation in Psychology and Mental Health, with the ability to apply theory to practical support tools. Experience in Counseling and Psychological Assessment, including use or interpretation of standardized screening instruments. Background in Medicine or close collaboration with medical professionals in perinatal, reproductive, or family health settings is beneficial. Licensed or registered Psychologist, Psychotherapist, Clinical Social Worker, Counselor, or equivalent mental health professional (or in the final stages of supervised training, where applicable). Demonstrated understanding of trauma-informed care, emotional regulation strategies, and risk assessment in maternal or family mental health. Comfort working in a remote, technology-enabled environment and contributing to digital mental health products or interventions. Strong written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams. Commitment to inclusive, culturally sensitive, and non-discriminatory practice, with a focus on psychological safety for diverse families.
Core Responsibilities
The psychologist will review and interpret emotional and clinical screenings while providing trauma-aware guidance on micro-interventions. They will also collaborate with product and clinical teams to refine safety protocols and ensure best practices in mental health care.
Requirements
Candidates must be a licensed or registered psychologist, psychotherapist, or equivalent mental health professional with experience in psychological assessment. A strong understanding of trauma-informed care and the ability to work effectively in a remote, technology-enabled environment are required.

ElephAi is a preventive emotional intelligence platform designed to support mothers, fathers, and families through trying to conceive, pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood.
