Create your own future As a Control Officer in the Internal Control team, you primarily contribute to risk management within the CFO organisation (Treasury, Finance, Reporting & Control and Asset Liability Management). You also keep an open view on risk management within other parts of the Van Lanschot Kempen organisation, because the CFO organisation has many dependencies with processes in other parts of the bank. This includes, among other things, reporting (internal and external), financial flows and assets. You have knowledge and experience related to risk management within a financial institution. You are responsible for monitoring the risks that arise from our day-to-day business. You use various risk instruments – such as control testing, action and incident management, and risk analysis – to support management in their risk management responsibilities. All this results in robust and efficient processes within our organisation and ensures that, at the end of the year, management can sign an in-control statement. As a Control Officer you will be involved in: executing (key) control testing activities contributing to the preparation of risk management reports handling incidents and performing root cause analyses monitoring the follow-up of action management facilitating Risk and Control (self) assessments setting up and maintaining the control framework participating in projects and helping to increase risk awareness among employees Your talents Team player, socially skilled, strong communicator, able to persuade and collaborate. Given the international character of Van Lanschot Kempen, a strong command of English is desirable.
