2022 WordPress Developer Internship Who: Maybe you! Made Right Media is a growing digital agency based in beautiful Boise, Idaho, and we’re currently looking for WordPress Developers to join our team! We build exclusively with WordPress and are undertaking some exciting custom development for various projects, both internal and for clients. The Ideal Candidate Should Have: Ability to work collaboratively and independently to bring ideas to life Be organized and able to use task management software Proven ability to concept, create, and execute custom code for WordPress Familiarity with git Be up-to-date on current trends and design principles Reliable access to a computer/laptop and internet connection Hard Skills: Proven competency in custom WordPress development, including theme customization and plugin development Solid bases in PHP, HTML, CSS, and Javascript Ability to learn and implement various APIs Soft Skills: Hard working, team player Eagerness to learn and grow Independent and self-starting Organized Great communication skills (you’ll work directly with clients) Other Details: Flexible work schedule with weekly check-ins Remote work is okay, though local ties to Boise is preferred Competitive hourly pay based on experience Starting part-time with opportunity to gr What: This internship will give you the opportunity to help build growing brands, connect with new customers, work collaboratively with a fun team (that’s us!), and gain knowledge of the agency industry. Compensation: $10-13/hour depending on experience. Where: This position will be semi-remote, with the option to come into the office for local candidates. Candidates outside of the Boise area must be able to work during typical business hours in the Mountain Timezone. Local candidates must be fully vaccinated to work in-office. When: The internship runs June–August and is a ≈20hr/week commitment. The hours are flexible, but should be consistent and within general business hours (9-5). Core Responsibilities

The intern will assist in building growing brands and executing custom code for various internal and client-facing WordPress projects. They will work collaboratively with the team and communicate directly with clients to bring project ideas to life.

Requirements

Candidates must have proven competency in custom WordPress development, including theme customization and plugin development, along with a solid foundation in PHP, HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
