Job Description

Your mission You didn't find the exact role. That doesn't mean it isn't here. We're a team of designers, producers, engineers, strategists, and makers who rarely fit neatly on an org chart. On any given week, someone here is wiring a control room, colour-grading a projection, or arguing about the exact second a room should go dark. What we share is curiosity: for a hard problem, for people who work differently than we do, for how something feels long after the lights come up. If you explore new ideas, bring clarity to complexity, and want to do ambitious work next to equally ambitious people, we'd like to hear from you. We don't always know exactly who we're looking for until we meet them. Your profile You'd probably like it here if you: Are curious by default, happier working out something new than repeating something safe. Enjoy sitting between disciplines, where a designer, an engineer, and a producer actually have to understand each other. Care about the craft, and about the people you make it with. Would rather ask a sharper question than give a safe answer. Experienced professional, early in your career, or after an internship: if that sounds like you, we'd like to hear from you. About Us The Storytelling Company is more than 180 people across Amsterdam, Zwaag, Berlin, Munich, and Charlotte. We bring strategy, design, and technology together into experiences people can walk into, for global clients wherever they and their audiences are. A brand's experience center. A maritime simulator, accurate down to the last real parameter. An opera, an exhibition, a pop-up that wasn't there yesterday. Original worlds made to travel from one city to the next. Different scales, different briefs, one question underneath each of them: what does it feel like when this truly lands? We work in close partnership with our clients and treat every project with the same care, for the people it reaches, the brands behind it, and the world around it. From the first idea to the last farewell note. If any of that sounds like your kind of place, we'd like to meet you.

Core Responsibilities

You will contribute to multidisciplinary projects by collaborating with designers, engineers, and producers to create immersive experiences. Your role involves solving complex problems and bringing creative concepts to life across various scales and formats.

Requirements

We are looking for curious individuals who enjoy working at the intersection of different disciplines and value high-quality craft. Whether you are an experienced professional, early in your career, or an intern, you should be eager to tackle ambitious projects.

About The Storytelling Company (TSC)

Industry: Marketing Services

Company size: 201-500 employees

A story changes the room it enters. Most spaces tell you nothing. You walk through, you leave, nothing sticks. What separates those from the ones people still describe a year later is rarely budget. It is whether anyone decided early what the place was supposed to do to the person standing in it. Some of our work happens once, in front of an audience, and has to work on the first attempt. There is no second take. Other work stays up for years, which changes every decision made on day one. And some of it belongs to us. Originals is our own line of formats, our IP, on the road from one city to the next, packed into trucks and rebuilt in a hall that has a different shape every time. Nobody commissions those. We decide they should exist and carry the risk. Museums, airports, trade fairs, pop-ups, headquarters, experience centres, training centres. Software, industry, mobility, public institutions, culture. Entertainment, edutainment, infotainment. The distinction matters, because it decides everything downstream. Someone who bought a ticket on a Saturday wants a different ninety minutes than a client team flown in for a single day. We build for both, B2C and B2B, and the briefs are never the same document. We make the content that runs in these places, and sooner or later all of it turns into steel, screens, cable runs and a date that does not move. That is where ideas either survive or quietly fall apart, so we keep that part in the same house as the thinking. The argument about what is actually possible happens early, not three weeks before doors open. Then it has to run. Every day, without anyone noticing there is a system underneath. That is TSS, The Storytelling Suite, our own software for content, media and live control. More than 50 brands worldwide use it on their sites. 180+ people in Amsterdam, Berlin, Charlotte, Munich and Zwaag. Clients on four continents. Nobody walks out talking about the technology. They talk about the thing they saw.
