You will join the Product Development department where you will be guided by our experienced Materials Specialist. The Materials Specialist will coach and guide you during the internship. Internship assignments and graduation assignments are determined in consultation with the student or graduate and will be combined with operational activities. In general terms, the operational work looks something like this: You’ll explore, research, and develop new material concepts. You’ll ensure that selected materials and trims are tested and approved by/according to our quality assurance department. You’ll support the Product Development team in defining and expanding the materials library, emphasizing on low environmental impact fibers, coatings, trims, etc. You’ll contribute to the analysis and structured archiving of the tests carried out. You’ll get a lot of space for your own ideas, time for creativity, and an independent working environment in which you can contribute to the further development of new materials and fabrics. Are you our ideal candidate? You have an affinity with technical textiles, leather, protective materials, and constructions. You are following an education at post-secondary vocational education (MBO) or university for applied sciences (HBO) and you are looking for a challenging internship. You have an inquiring mind and pay close attention to detail. You like to think about solutions and you are able to formulate these solutions clearly. You can work independently as well as in a team. Core Responsibilities

Requirements
Candidates should be pursuing a post-secondary vocational or university degree with an affinity for technical textiles and protective materials. Fluency in English is required, and the ability to work both independently and in a team is essential.
