ExCulture B.V. is developing a safe, animal-free alternative to conventional heparin, extracted from biowaste. Our goal is a more stable, ethical and secure supply chain for this critical drug, while valorising waste streams and supporting a circular economy. As a DSP Operations intern, you'll work hands-on in the lab on the purification of our product. What you'll do: Perform downstream processing according to SOPs Run process-control analytics and product-quality assays, including HPLC Analyse experimental results and batch records Support investigative experiments and experimental design for process improvement What we're looking for: BSc/MSc student in biotechnology, bioprocess engineering, biochemistry, chemical engineering or a related field Interest in downstream processing, chromatography and analytics (HPLC experience is a plus) Precise and organised, comfortable working from SOPs and keeping careful batch records Curious, proactive and a good team player Good command of English What you'll get: Hybrid working: lab days on campus, flexibility for data analysis and reporting Your own lab space plus shared lab facilities A vibrant startup campus where you can meet other startups and scale-ups and build your network Hands-on responsibility in a real product-development process, supervised by an experienced project lead Internship allowance: 400 euro What you'll learn: downstream processing, chromatography, HPLC, batch and experimental documentation, experimental design, data analysis, and how a sustainable bioprocess develops from lab bench to product. Requirements

Candidates must be a BSc or MSc student in biotechnology, bioprocess engineering, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field. Applicants should be precise, organized, and comfortable working with SOPs and batch records.
