Sourcing & Development Manager Eindhoven | International sourcing | Product development | Asia & Europe Are you ready to shape the products and assortments that drive Galvano’s future growth? Galvano is looking for an experienced Sourcing & Development Manager with end-to-end responsibility for developing and internationally sourcing distinctive, commercially successful products. You will combine product development, supplier selection, cost engineering and contract management in one influential leadership role. Working closely with the Managing Director, Product Managers and the commercial organization, you will determine which products we develop—and where, how and with whom they are produced. Your primary sourcing region will be Asia, complemented by Europe. You will also play a key role in the continued development of Lavigo and in identifying opportunities across the wider BME Group. You will: Translate customer needs, market developments and trends into a clear innovation and product-development roadmap. Lead the complete development process—from initial concept and business case to sampling, certification, industrialization and launch. Select and develop suppliers in Asia and Europe based on innovation, quality, cost, capacity, compliance and strategic fit. Lead international tenders and negotiations to improve purchasing conditions and gross margins. Use cost engineering and should-cost analysis to optimize specifications, materials, packaging, production methods and total cost of ownership. Negotiate and manage supplier agreements covering pricing, intellectual property, exclusivity, warranties, service levels and exit provisions. Work closely with Supply Chain to improve lead times, MOQs, inventory levels, logistics flows, availability and continuity. Identify and mitigate supplier, geopolitical, currency, commodity and capacity risks. Build strategic supplier partnerships and lead performance reviews and improvement programmes. Professionalize sourcing and development processes, dashboards, master data and decision-making. Lead, coach and develop the team, creating clear priorities and ownership. You combine strategic and commercial thinking with the pragmatism to get things done. You understand how to turn an opportunity into a strong product proposition—and how to bring that product to market at the right quality, cost and speed. You bring: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Economics or a related field. At least seven years of relevant experience in sourcing, procurement, product development or category management. Several years of leadership experience. Demonstrable experience in sourcing and supplier management in both Asia and Europe. A successful track record in developing and launching private-label or exclusive products. Strong expertise in supplier negotiations, contract management, cost engineering and supply-chain optimization. Experience in sanitary products, building materials, technical consumer products or a comparable environment is a strong advantage. Fluency in Dutch and English; proficiency in Chinese or another Asian language is an advantage. Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis, particularly to Asia. Why this role? The Sourcing & Development Manager will lead the end-to-end product development process and international sourcing strategy across Asia and Europe. They are responsible for supplier selection, contract negotiations, cost engineering, and driving innovation to meet commercial goals.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a bachelor's or master's degree and at least seven years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or product development. Strong leadership skills, international sourcing experience, and proficiency in English and Dutch are required.
