Non-Key Expert – Space Applications Expert, Satellite Navigation & Connectivity NTU International is preparing a proposal for the project “Support to the Africa-EU Space Partnership Programme – AESPP Boost.” The programme aims to strengthen cooperation between Africa and the European Union in the space sector, supporting policy dialogue, institutional partnerships, knowledge exchange, innovation, private sector engagement and investment, while contributing to stronger and more sustainable African space ecosystems. In this context, we are seeking a highly qualified Non-Key Expert – Space Applications Expert, Satellite Navigation & Connectivity to support activities related to satellite navigation, GNSS and augmentation systems, satellite connectivity and the development and uptake of space-based applications across Africa. Minimum Qualifications and Skills: University degree at Master’s level in engineering, telecommunications, aeronautics, geomatics, or a related field. Excellent command of English. Working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese will be considered an asset. Minimum General Professional Experience: Minimum 8 years of professional experience in satellite navigation, telecommunications, satellite connectivity and/or related applications. Minimum Specific Professional Experience At least 4 years of professional experience working on satellite-navigation or connectivity applications, including GNSS and SBAS, aviation or maritime applications and/or satellite broadband. Working knowledge of Galileo and EGNOS, IRIS² and relevant African navigation and augmentation initiatives is an asset. Core Responsibilities
The expert will support the Africa-EU Space Partnership Programme by facilitating policy dialogue, institutional partnerships, and knowledge exchange. They will also lead activities related to satellite navigation, GNSS, and the development of space-based applications across Africa.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in engineering, telecommunications, aeronautics, geomatics, or a related field. A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in satellite navigation and connectivity is required.
