We're Hiring: Customs Clearance Operator (Based in Hoofddorp) 💡Please note that work authorization in the Netherlands is required for this position. We are looking for a Customs Clearance Operator to manage customs declarations, ensure compliance, and support daily customs operations. Strong customs expertise, attention to detail, and communication skills are essential. 📄 Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and process import, export, and transit customs declarations. - Review customs and transport documentation, including invoices, packing lists, AWBs, Bills of Lading, and CMRs. - Ensure compliance with customs regulations, customs values, HS codes, origin requirements, and permit requirements. - Monitor shipments, maintain customs records, and manage declaration follow-ups. - Handle customs corrections, refund requests, objections, and other customs-related administration. - Communicate with customers, partners, customs authorities, and internal stakeholders to resolve customs-related issues. - Provide support and advice on customs matters to colleagues and customers. 🔎 What We're Looking For: - Experience in customs clearance, freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field. - Good knowledge of customs legislation, import/export procedures, HS classification, customs valuation, and origin regulations. - Strong administrative and analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and solve problems effectively. - Accurate, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. - Customer-focused with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. - Fluent in English, both written and spoken. - Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and comfortable working independently as well as within a team. 📩 Interested?
