As a Finance Business Partner for Shared Services, you will act as the trusted finance partner for the People, Procurement and Tech departments. You will support monthly performance, budgeting and forecasting, and build strong working relationships with department heads. This is a hands-on role with clear, established stakeholders and recurring processes. A strong foundation for someone looking to grow in their finance business partnering career, with scope to grow into additional domains over time. You will be part of the wider global Finance organization located mainly in Leiden, which enables you to build a long-term career by extending your experience to other finance areas such as FP&A, finance transformation, financial control, amongst others. Key Responsibilities Act as finance business partner for Shared Services departments, and support and strengthen their business performance on monthly performance and decision-making Provide insights on financial and non-financial business performance for your domains. Clearly explain business trends and their implications to department heads and stakeholders Lead the annual budget and Business Plan input for your domains, aligning with department heads and reviewing assumptions where needed Provide monthly Latest Estimate and Risks & Opportunities input for your domains, built together with the business Work closely with the Financial Control team during month-end close: provide input where needed (e.g., accrual requirements, business context on a variance), and ensure every cost line above the explanation threshold carries a clear commentary Contribute domain highlights for the monthly board report, and help answer ad-hoc questions on your domains from senior stakeholders Support Another Star's finance strategy and identify opportunities for improvement, standardization and best practice implementation across Shared Services Qualifications/Skills Have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or economics Solid experience in finance, business control, accounting, or a related analytical role Strong motivation and curiosity to perform financial analysis, identify trends, and understand the ‘story’ behind the numbers Have strong communication skills and can communicate business insights to various organizational levels and with different internal stakeholders Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills; experience with Proquro, Power BI, or Tagetik is a plus but not required Have a proactive mindset and enjoy developing new solutions Location / Hours Leiden Support Office. Hybrid role, with 2-3 days in the office per week. Not fully remote. This is a full-time role. Core Responsibilities

The Finance Business Partner will act as a trusted advisor for the People, Procurement, and Tech departments, supporting monthly performance, budgeting, and forecasting. They will also provide financial insights to stakeholders and collaborate with the Financial Control team to ensure accurate month-end reporting.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or economics. Solid experience in finance or business control is required, along with exceptional Microsoft Excel skills and strong communication abilities.
