Job Description

Sales Manager, Europe — Food Processing Equipment (New Territory) Remote — home office, Netherlands or neighbouring country 50–60% travel across Europe €90,000 – €110,000 base + uncapped commission Clean Works Inc. | Full-time, permanent THE MISSION We are hiring a hunter to open Europe for Clean Works. You will be our first salesperson on the continent, with one objective: win the first Clean Flow system orders from growers, packers and food processors in Europe, and build a pipeline that turns into repeatable, year-over-year growth. You start with a proven, patented technology and a strong North American reference base — and no European customer list, no distributor network and no territory plan. You will build all three. This is a quota-carrying, in-person selling role. Significant deals in our industry are closed on the customer's site, not over video. You will be on the road across Europe most of the time, and at your home office when you are not with customers. ABOUT CLEAN WORKS Clean Works Inc. designs and manufactures patented gas-phase food sanitation systems — the Clean Flow family, combining UV-C light, hydrogen peroxide, ozone and hydroxyl radicals to deliver chemical-free, water-free pathogen reduction for fresh and frozen produce and other foods. We are part of the Court Holdings Ltd. group, headquartered in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. We hold patents in 12 jurisdictions and build our equipment on our own shop floor. Our customers are food and agriculture companies across North America and internationally. WHAT YOU WILL DO Sell • Own the European number: order intake, pipeline and new logos. • Prospect, qualify and close Clean Flow system sales with growers, packers and food processors — discovery, site assessment, trials with our R&D team, proposal, negotiation, purchase order. • Sell under both our equipment-sale (CapEx) and subscription (OpEx) models close deals. • Win the first European reference installations and turn them into case studies, site visits and referrals. • Build and run the territory plan: priority countries, target segments, accounts and sales channels. Build the channel • Recruit and manage distributors, agents and strategic partners (packing-line OEMs, cold-storage operators, produce cooperatives) where a partner accelerates sales. • Represent Clean Works at the key European trade shows — Fruit Logistica, Fruit Attraction, Anuga and others — and convert show contacts into pipeline. Clear the path to sell • Drive the regulatory and certification steps needed to sell and install Clean Flow in your priority markets (EU biocidal products rules, food hygiene requirements, CE marking, UK equivalents), working with our R&D and engineering team and external regulatory advisors. This runs in parallel with selling — it is a means to open markets, not a separate job. Run a disciplined pipeline • Keep every lead, account and deal current in HubSpot; forecast on confirmed purchase orders, not on optimism. • Report weekly on pipeline and monthly on results to the General Manager, Clean Works. • Feed customer, competitor and pricing intelligence back to leadership and product. WHAT YOU BRING Mandatory — we will only consider candidates who meet this: • 7–10+ years of sales experience at an equipment manufacturer serving the food processing industry, with documented, verifiable sales results (order intake, new accounts won, territory growth). Sales experience from other industries — or from distribution, consulting or services rather than equipment manufacturing — will not be considered. Also required: • A track record of opening a new territory, country or market segment from zero and delivering the first wins. • Experience running long, consultative, technical sales cycles (6–18 months, six-figure values) that include trials or validation. • Self-directed and disciplined: able to run a territory alone from a home office with rigorous CRM and reporting habits. • Fluent English plus professional proficiency in at least one other major European language (German, Dutch, Spanish, French, Italian or Polish). • Based in Europe with the right to work in your country of residence; valid driver's licence; able to travel 50–60%. • Bachelor's degree in engineering, food science, agriculture, business or a related field. Strong assets: • Experience selling sanitization, post-harvest, cold-chain or packing-line equipment (UV, ozone, hydrogen peroxide, AOP). • Existing relationships with European growers, cooperatives, packers or packing-line OEMs. • Experience recruiting and managing distributors or agents. • Experience taking equipment through a European certification or regulatory process, or managing the consultants who did. • HubSpot or equivalent CRM. WHAT WE OFFER • Base salary of €90,000 – €110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and country of residence. • Uncapped commission on order intake, plus milestone bonuses for the first European reference installations. • Home-office allowance, company laptop and phone, and travel expenses per company policy. • Full ownership of a new territory with patented, globally deployed technology and direct access to company leadership. • Onboarding and product training at our facility in St. Catharines, Ontario. • A stable, family-oriented company within the Court Holdings group, with a track record of promoting from within. HOW TO APPLY Send your resume and a short cover letter — including two or three examples of sales results you delivered at an equipment manufacturer in food processing — to [email protected]. We thank all candidates for their interest. Only those selected for an interview will be contacted. Clean Works Inc. is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from all qualified individuals regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected under applicable law. Accommodations are available on request at every stage of the selection process.
