Ground State Ventures is recruiting an Events Coordinator to support our busy calendar of events all year round. Ground State Ventures operates an $88 million global fund backing high-potential quantum technology startups at their earliest stages. Across quantum computing, sensing, communications and infrastructure, the fund invests in the best teams working at the cutting edge of what's possible to build the next generation of era-defining technology businesses. The Events Coordinator supports event production, with an estimated 10-20 events per year. These range from intimate dinners to our large-scale annual conference. International travel might be required. Expect tight timelines and high attention to detail. This role is designed for someone who wants to grow their experience in event production at a high-output venture firm. This is for you if you want to be the person behind the room where quantum founders and experts come together. This role reports to the Head of Ecosystem and is based in the Netherlands. What you'll do Support and eventually own event production for all Ground State Ventures events, applying our event playbook and helping improve it further. Drive execution excellence. You’ll work on the full event lifecycle, from concept and guest management to on-the-ground coordination, experience, and follow up. You’ll need high attention to detail with measured deliverables. Manage event budgets, paying attention to what works best and deprioritizing what doesn’t. Develop and manage detailed event plans, timelines, and budgets across multiple events simultaneously. Bring attention to detail, hard work, and enthusiasm to every event, and across all touch points with our network. Establish vendor relationships, including venues, A/V, production, catering, etc. Support the team in developing programming, and coordinating with speakers, special guests and stakeholders. Find opportunities to improve event formats, attendee experience, and operational efficiency across events. Support general team logistics beyond events, such as travel and offsite planning, when needed. What you'll bring Creator mindset. You're a self-starter who can build a program from scratch, execute and optimize. Industry connections. You have a network of vendors across creative, production, and experiential disciplines. You can hold your own in a room full of founders, physicists and researchers. Does not require in-depth knowledge, but the willingness to learn. Exceptional organizational skills. Preferably with a track record of building systems and using tools to work efficiently. Flexibility to travel when needed to oversee on-site production when needed. Previous experience running startup and/or technology events is required (minimum of 1-2 years). Core Responsibilities

The Events Coordinator will manage the full lifecycle of event production, from concept and budget management to on-the-ground execution and follow-up. They will also support general team logistics, including travel and offsite planning, while maintaining vendor relationships.

Requirements

Candidates must have 1-2 years of experience running startup or technology events and possess exceptional organizational skills. A self-starter mindset and the ability to travel internationally for on-site production are required.
