About the role The Biosimilars Business Development Director is responsible for identifying, evaluating, negotiating, and closing global biosimilar licensing and partnership opportunities that originates within a defined geography (e.g. Europe, Asia-Pacific) to expand Sun Pharma's global biosimilars portfolio. Biosimilars Business Development Director serve as opportunity originator, primary negotiator and partner-facing deal leader. The successful candidate will possess deep knowledge of the global biosimilars landscape, exceptional business development and negotiation capabilities, strong commercial and financial acumen, and a proven track record of originating and closing complex licensing transactions. Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to Identify, originate, negotiate and secure commercially attractive biosimilar opportunities from the region for commercialization into global markets Lead strategic sourcing and portfolio expansion through proactive engagement with biosimilar companies and partners. Represent Company at partnering conferences, industry events, investor meetings, and regional business development forums to enhance the company's visibility and identify new collaboration opportunities Build and maintain a robust pipeline of high-quality biosimilar opportunities Track emerging biosimilar developers, CDMOs, and their pipeline relevant to the Company’s biosimilars business objectives. Support in developing robust commercial forecast by coordinating with local commercial teams to include regional pricing dynamics, reimbursement frameworks, market access considerations, competitive landscape and regulatory pathways Work closely with Transaction lead and support to prepare commercial proposals, term sheets, definitive agreements, and related transaction documents Build, develop, and maintain strategic relationships with existing and prospective biosimilar developers, companies, investors, and other industry stakeholders. Manage regional partner relationships to maximize the value of licensed and partnered assets throughout the collaboration lifecycle. Monitor global trends in biosimilars, including competitive developments, regulatory changes, reimbursement policies, market access dynamics, and emerging technologies to identify future growth opportunities Support biosimilar portfolio strategy and long-term business planning aligned with the organization's global strategic objectives. Qualifications Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or Business; MBA preferred. 10–12 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, including a minimum of 5 years in biosimilar or biologics business development and licensing. Demonstrated success in sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and executing biosimilar licensing, co-development, or strategic partnership transactions. Strong understanding of the global biosimilars industry, including development pathways, regulatory requirements, intellectual property considerations, commercialization strategies, pricing, reimbursement, and market access. Established network across biosimilar developers, biotechnology companies, licensing partners, investment groups, advisors, and other key industry stakeholders. Excellent negotiation, financial analysis, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Proven ability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional and multicultural global teams. Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Project; experience with financial modeling and portfolio evaluation tools is preferred. Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Requirements
Candidates must hold an advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or Business, with an MBA preferred. The role requires 10–12 years of industry experience, including at least 5 years specifically in biosimilar or biologics business development and licensing.
