Eurus Energy Group develops, invests in and operates renewable energy projects worldwide, with a focus on onshore wind, solar photovoltaic (PV), and battery energy storage systems (BESS) projects. Starting from its first project in California in 1987, Eurus now has over 5.1 GW of wind and solar power generation worldwide. Eurus Energy Europe B.V.(“EEE”) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Eurus Energy Holdings Corporation, which is owned by listed Japanese company, Toyota Tsusho Corporation. EEE operates renewable energy projects in Europe with a total exceeding 1 GW. More renewable energy projects will be built in the coming years. Our portfolio includes onshore wind, solar PV, and BESS assets across all stages from development through construction and operation. EEE is active in several European countries, including the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Norway, Hungary, and Poland, and continues to evaluate and pursue opportunities across other European markets. In order to manage our growing portfolio and expand the team, we are looking to hire a “Project Engineer” to lead the construction of wind/solar farms and/or battery energy storage systems (the Projects). You will be part of the Engineering and Construction team and will report to the Head of Asset Management, based in Amsterdam. In this role, you will act as the Owner's technical representative on the Projects. Profile: The Project Engineer is responsible for managing all technical aspects of the development and construction of Projects, possibly in cooperation with our partner(s). Acting on behalf of EEE as the Owner/Employer, the Project Engineer oversees EPC contractors and manages the Owner's Engineer and other technical advisors to ensure the successful delivery of projects. He/She is organised, communicates clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike, and is comfortable working to the terms of a contract as well as to a technical specification. He/She is able to represent the Owner's position with contractors while maintaining a constructive working relationship. He/She works well with cross-functional teams in a multicultural environment. Responsibilities: Control and monitor the design, engineering, operations and construction of Projects in Europe and other potential areas, including definition of the Employer's Requirements, review of technical scope and conditions in contracts (e.g. EPC, TSA, BSA, etc), and management of the Owner's Engineer scope. Supervise and monitor the development and execution of the construction project plan in order to determine time frame, budgeting for each phase of the project execution and procedures for accomplishing the project, including review of the contractor’s baseline programme, critical path and milestone dates, and monthly assessment of actual progress against it. Manage the execution of and compliance with project specifications, construction contracts and work in collaboration with partner companies and/or technical consultation company to ensure adequate scopes of work are executed under those contracts. Review and approve contractor and supplier invoices against the contract and actual progress. Provide regular reporting updates on forecasted and controlled expenditures so that the project remains within budget, including monthly cost-to-complete forecasting, variation exposure and contingency drawdown. Provide regular reporting updates in scheduled project meetings with internal and external stakeholders. Work in partnership with our development department and provide or coordinate engineering support with our engineering team as needed. Coordinate and work with our internal legal department to facilitate execution of project contracts such as including but not limited to EPC and balance-of-plant contracts, turbine supply agreements, equipment purchase agreements, warranty agreements and commissioning agreements. Liaise with a technical advisor hired by facility agents and other financial institutions to provide all necessary information required under the financial agreement. Required Skills & Qualification: Minimum 6 years of experience in the construction and delivery of utility-scale onshore wind, solar PV and/or BESS projects. This experience may have been gained with a developer or IPP, with a technical consultancy in an Owner's Engineer or construction monitoring capacity, or with an equipment OEM in a project management or site management role. Project management and project risk mitigation. Proactive and result driven team player with solid verbal and written communication skills, able to hold and evidence a contractual position under commercial pressure. Bachelor’s degree in renewable energy, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or related field. Analytical skills. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Package. Willingness and ability to travel to project sites across Europe. Fluency in English. Full driving licence. Desirable Skills & Qualification: Master’s degree in renewable energy, electrical engineering, ­­­ mechanical engineering or related field. Affinity with international environments. General interest in renewables. Experience of technical due diligence and/or acting as lenders’ technical advisor on project-financed renewable assets. Experience negotiating or administering turbine supply and service agreements (TSA/LTSA), or BESS and PV supply and long-term service agreements, from either side of the table. Working knowledge of grid connection processes and the DSO/TSO interface in at least one European market. Fluency in Dutch. Offer: Permanent position from commencement of employment.
