Head of Tax Accounting (m/f/d)
We are strengthening our team in Finance & Accounting at our location in Amsterdam.
About the Team:
As Head of Tax Accounting, you are responsible for the Group's global tax positions and ensure that tax balances are properly reflected in the consolidated and individual financial statements. You act as central contact for tax accounting issues and promote the continuous further development of processes, systems and governance structures in the international tax environment.
What you can look forward to as Head of Tax Accounting (m/f/d):
- Responsibility for the timely calculation and documentation of current and deferred tax positions for monthly and year-end closings
- Analysis of complex transactions regarding their impact on accounting and tax law; tax support in restructuring, acquisitions, joint ventures and integration projects
- Responsibility for global tax risk management
- Further development of Group-wide tax accounting guidelines, processes, and controls
- Functional leadership and development of an international Tax Accounting Team
- Central Tax Contact for auditors, tax advisors and tax authorities; in matters relevant to the tax balance sheet close cooperation with Group Accounting and other internal stakeholders
- Advising management on complex national and international tax issues
- Introduction and optimization of modern tax technology solutions
Your profile Head of Tax Accounting (m/f/d):
- Successfully completed University degree in law and/ or economics; certified tax advisor
- Several years of management experience in the field of tax accounting, Group taxes or international accounting in multinational industrial companies or in a Big Four auditing company
- Sound knowledge of IFRS, in particular IAS 12
- Very good knowledge of international tax structures and transfer pricing systems
- Experience in handling SAP and consolidation systems
- Strong analytical and strategic mindset as well as excellent communication and presentation skills
- Leadership skills in international matrix organizations
- Fluent in business German and English - Other foreign languages would be an Advantage

Candidates must hold a university degree in law or economics and be a certified tax advisor with extensive management experience in tax accounting or group taxes. Proficiency in IFRS, specifically IAS 12, along with experience in SAP and international tax structures, is required.
