Job Summary:

Supermicro is looking for Associate Revenue Recognition Specialist to support revenue-related accounting activities, financial reporting, and audit processes. The role requires a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare month-end/quarter-end journal entries for revenue and related accounting areas.
• Review of revenue contracts and propose proper revenue recognition.
• Participate in the preparation of schedules and analysis of deferred and unbilled revenues.
• Review invoices and customer POs for proper revenue recognition.
• Provide requisite schedules/reports for quarterly reviews/annual audits with external auditors.
• Assist in quarterly reviews/annual audit with external and internal auditors.
• Assist with various ad-hoc reporting, revenue or financial related projects.
• Work with cross-functional teams (A/R, A/P, Cost Accounting, sales, legal and etc.) to resolve issues if necessary.

Qualifications:

• Accounting or Finance education preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting or financial planning and analysis experience preferred.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Must be self-motivated, flexible, deadline-oriented and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to identify and resolve revenue related issues timely.
• Excellent organization skills with multi-tasking abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to interface and work with a wide variety of individuals at all levels.
• Strong US GAAP accounting, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Extensive knowledge of MS office skills, specifically MS Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of SAP, BI, and Oracle are a plus.
