Role Description The Benefits Administrator / HR Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Gouda, responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations with a strong focus on employee benefits. This role administers health, insurance, retirement, and other benefit programs, including onboarding and offboarding processes, maintaining accurate employee records, and responding to benefits-related inquiries. The position assists with compliance activities, including administration of U.S. Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), COBRA, and other regulatory requirements where applicable. Daily tasks include coordinating benefits enrollment, managing changes and updates, liaising with insurance providers, preparing documentation, and supporting HR projects such as policy updates and employee communications. The role also involves collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent HR processes and a positive employee experience. Qualifications Strong skills in Benefits Administration and Employee Benefits, with experience managing enrollment, changes, and terminations. Knowledge of regulatory programs such as U.S. Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and COBRA, including related documentation and compliance processes. Experience working with Insurance plans, vendor coordination, and resolving benefit-related issues. Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in handling employee data. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain benefit options and policies clearly. Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and handle sensitive information professionally. Proficiency with HRIS or HR databases, and common office software (e.g., Excel, Word, email and collaboration tools). Relevant education or training in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification is an advantage. Experience in an HR coordinator or benefits-focused role, preferably in a multi-stakeholder or client-focused environment.
