Key Account Manager – Energy and Infrastructure 

Location: Netherlands 

We’re looking for a Key Account Manager – Energy and Infrastructure to drive commercial growth and strengthen relationships with key customers in the Netherlands. If you are commercially driven, customer-focused, and enjoy turning opportunities into long-term partnerships, this could be your next opportunity. 

What will your key responsibilities be? 

  • Own and grow key Oil & Gas customer accounts, delivering revenue and profitability targets 

  • Build strong, long-term relationships with existing customers and develop new business opportunities 

  • Identify customer needs, understand their challenges, and recommend the right Hempel products and solutions 

  • Identify, research, and pursue prospective customers and sales leads 

  • Visit customers regularly and manage opportunities from initial contact through to successful sales 

  • Prepare and negotiate commercial proposals, including prices and delivery terms within agreed authority 

  • Monitor market and competitor developments to identify opportunities for growth 

  • Work closely with technical, customer service, supply chain, and other commercial teams to deliver excellent customer solutions 

  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline and accurate customer information in our CRM system 

You will be part of Hempel’s commercial organisation in the Netherlands, working closely with key customers and colleagues across the business. You will play an important role in strengthening Hempel’s position in the Oil & Gas market and delivering sustainable growth. 

Who are you? 

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, key account management, or business development, ideally within Oil & Gas 

  • Strong track record of achieving sales targets and developing new business 

  • Excellent customer relationship, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills 

  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify and convert opportunities 

  • Good understanding of the Oil & Gas market and customer landscape in the Netherlands 

  • Proactive, results-oriented, and comfortable working independently 

  • Experience with CRM systems and sales tools 

  • Fluent in Dutch and English
