Your role

In this role, you will translate complex customer and engineering requirements into robust, manufacturable design solutions for advanced medical device components. Your work will contribute directly to the quality, reliability, and performance of products used in challenging healthcare environments.

You will be part of a small, highly skilled team where collaboration is close, responsibilities are broad, and your contribution is visible. Working together with colleagues across engineering, operations, marketing, customers, and suppliers, you will help bring meaningful innovation from concept into reliable volume production.

You will take ownership of New Product Introduction activities, Bill of Materials development, tooling concepts, and yield and process improvements, always with a strong focus on quality, integrity, patient safety, and customer success.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with customers and internal stakeholders to optimize designs for manufacturability in Best.

  • Translating customer requirements into practical, reliable, and scalable manufacturing solutions.

  • Designing tooling and technical solutions that support efficient, high-quality manufacturing.

  • Driving continuous improvement of production processes to enhance quality, yield, and cost effectiveness.

  • Developing and improving Bill of Materials content for current and future product generations.

You're the right fit if:

  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering and bring a hands-on mindset; in our team, we both design and manufacture the parts.

  • You preferably have 3–5 years of relevant experience in New Product Introduction and/or design for manufacturing within an R&D environment.

  • You have experience with manufacturing, prototyping and/or post-processing processes and enjoy solving technical challenges close to the product and process.

  • You are familiar with implementing Quality & Regulatory requirements and working in a regulated business environment where quality and integrity are central.

  • You bring strong expertise in product development lifecycle management, product design, verification and validation testing, technical documentation, and troubleshooting.

  • You combine technical depth with business awareness, curiosity, and a continuous improvement mindset.

  • You enjoy working cross-functionally and can influence internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers where needed.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For office-based teams, this means working in person at least three days per week. For this role, full-time on-site availability is preferred to enable close collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and operational teams in Best.

Compensation & benefits

Doing meaningful work should come with fair, transparent rewards. The base gross annual salary range for this role is € 61.000 - €101.000. We determine pay within the range using objective factors, like the skills the role requires, your relevant experience, and the responsibility you'll have in this role, alongside internal equity and local market considerations. This role is eligible for annual incentive, with your rewards linked to KPIs. We'll share the full approach with you during the interview process, so you can make a clear, informed decision.
