Job Description
Key Responsibilities Provide oversight and leadership for day-to-day operations, ensuring all processes are executed smoothly, accurately, and efficiently. Issue and review spot and long-term purchase and sales contracts based on trader recaps. Coordinate delivery planning and linking of all purchases and sales, ensuring the highest cost-effectiveness and volume optimisation in line with contracts; address and resolve complex operational issues arising during the delivery process. Liaise with Finance and Credit at Count on required financial instruments including letters of credit, credit insurance, storage warrants, and any other financial requirements. Maintain contact with tank stakeholders at ITC Antwerp, TOV Hemiksem, and other terminals — ensuring product quality and availability, providing up-to-date inventory overviews and monthly delivery forecasts. Take the lead in cases of transport damage, product contamination, or other product insurance matters. Ensure correct and timely input of all data related to trade deals, barge movements, Q&Q reports, and event dates into Count's CTRM systems and relevant spreadsheets. Ensure all operational activities adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards. Required Skills & Experience Knowledge & Expertise Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (Logistics, Supply Chain, Chemistry, or similar). 5+ years of relevant work experience in bulk liquid chemical or petroleum operations. Hands-on experience with vessel/barge operations, tank terminal management, and SBLC / financial instrument coordination. Residing in Rotterdam or the immediate surrounding area. Extensive experience with MS Office and ERP/CTRM software. Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of industry-specific INCO Terms and relevant commodity trading regulations. Core Competencies Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a high-performing team. Adept at managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously under time pressure. Comfortable dealing with stress, ambiguity, and unpredictable operational situations. Demonstrates versatility — able to prioritise rapidly, adapt to changing circumstances, and resolve problems decisively. Strong attention to detail with a structured, process-oriented mindset. Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Chemistry, or a similar field with over 5 years of experience in bulk liquid chemical or petroleum operations. Candidates must be fluent in English, proficient in ERP/CTRM software, and reside in or near Rotterdam.
