Job Description

IES Retail, LLC is seeking a Retail Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance, repair tasks, and preventative maintenance across IES Retail Company Owned Company Operated (COCO) and Company Owned Retailer Operated (CORO) Texaco stations. The Maintenance Technician will ensure our stations maintain high image standards and optimal working conditions by executing day-to-day maintenance needs, routine upkeep to prevent issues, and leveraging modern maintenance systems such as Service Channel, Owl Services ticketing, and predictive maintenance tools. The Technician will follow all operating standards, work performance, compliance with environmental regulations, and company policies, and live the Island Way – with an unwavering commitment to safety and environmental protection. Qualifications Skills and Experience include but not limited to: Required Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 2 years of experience in general maintenance, handyman services, or facilities management. Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and other maintenance skills. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance-related problems efficiently. Strong attention to detail and commitment to completing tasks with quality workmanship. Basic understanding of OSHA and HIOSH safety regulations and practices in a maintenance setting. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines. Strong communication skills for reporting issues and working with station staff. Valid driver’s license with clean record. Skills Ability to uphold to strict ethical standards: integrity, objectivity, and confidentiality. Proficient knowledge of OSHA, HIOSH, and compliance-related standards for maintenance and retail fueling environments. Sound knowledge of hazard identification and safe work practices in retail and light industrial settings. Ability to learn and navigate cloud-based ticketing systems (Service Channel, Owl Services) and mobile apps (iPad work orders). Excellent customer service orientation, maintain professional demeanor with station staff and customers. Proficient Microsoft Office Suite skills, including editing and proofreading. Ability to maintain automated and manual record keeping systems. Strong sense of team spirit and ability to transfer it to others. Ability to work independently. Ability to evaluate information and exercise good judgment in making decisions. Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality. Preferred Skills Prior relevant experience in retail fueling, oil & gas, or related energy industries is strongly preferred. Prior OHSA/HIOSH TRAINING, prior fueling industry experience, HVAC/plumbing experience is strongly preferred. Pass background check including periodic job-related physical abilities testing as required. This is a safety sensitive position and random drug testing is required. Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) within sixty days of hire. Previous forklift operation experience preferred, certification is a plus Responsibilities Principal Duties include but are not limited to: Maintenance, Preventative Care & Troubleshooting: 60% Facility Inspections, Safety & Repair Coordination: 20% Inventory, Systems & Asset Management: 20% Compensation Pay Range: $25 - $33/hour IES, licensee of the Texaco brand, is an equal opportunity employer.
