Company Description Brobs Marine is a Dutch family-owned supplier of genuine and OEM spare parts for the maritime and power industries. Founded in 2020 and built on 35 years of industry experience, we supply spare parts to customers in more than 40 countries. We operate from The Hague and Spain. When a separator fails mid-voyage, the vessel doesn't wait. Our job is to find the part, price it, and get it to the next port before the ship arrives. We're growing fast, we move fast, and we believe in ownership. Role Description This is a broad commercial role with full ownership of the customer relationship and the order behind it. You will: Handle incoming RFQs from shipowners, managers and technical superintendents, understand the requirement, identify the correct part, and issue the quotation Source from our OEM and supplier network: check availability, negotiate price and lead time, place purchase orders Follow up actively on open quotations and build repeat business from existing accounts Manage the order through to delivery, freight forwarders, export documentation, delivery to vessel or agent worldwide Get hands-on with the goods when needed, including checking incoming parts and preparing shipments Monitor pricing, lead times and supplier performance, and improve how we work Help build and lead the commercial team as we scale Qualifications A degree in business, engineering, international trade or similar; an MBA or comparable postgraduate qualification is welcome 2+ years in sales, procurement, trading, logistics or commercial operations, maritime, industrial or technical distribution preferred, but not required if you learn fast Genuinely comfortable with technical products; you don't need to know separators today, but you need to want to Strong English, both written and spoken. Dutch is not required Commercially sharp and detail-obsessed: in this business a wrong part number is an expensive mistake Entrepreneurial mindset
Core Responsibilities
You will manage the full commercial lifecycle of customer orders, from handling RFQs and sourcing parts to coordinating global logistics and export documentation. Additionally, you will monitor supplier performance and contribute to the growth and leadership of the commercial team.
Requirements
Candidates should possess a degree in business, engineering, or international trade, along with at least 2 years of experience in sales, procurement, or logistics. A detail-oriented mindset, strong English communication skills, and the ability to handle technical products are essential for success in this role.
