Fractional Strategic Warehouse Project Lead Outcomes-Based Contract Sustainable Cleaning Products NV Amsterdam (Hybrid) Expected start Q1 2027 Role Summary Sustainable Cleaning Products NV is seeking a fractional Strategic Warehouse Project Lead to develop and evaluate strategic options for an owned ~1,000 sq m warehouse in the Amsterdam port area, secure board-level decisions that balance commercial outcomes with B Corp-aligned sustainability commitments (including workforce/social considerations), and execute the selected path with minimal operational disruption. Key Outcomes (What Success Looks Like) - Rapidly establishes credibility with senior stakeholders and the board through structured thinking, clarity, and decision-ready communication. - Produces high-quality strategic options and a recommendation that achieves board acceptance and aligns commercial goals with sustainability ethos. - Delivers measurable commercial value while protecting service continuity, workforce commitments, and operational performance. - Executes early implementation steps at pace with clear governance, risks managed, and dependencies unblocked. Scope of Work & Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end warehouse strategy and delivery from options development through decision and initial execution steps for the Amsterdam port-area footprint (~1,000 sq m). - Develop strategic options for an owned warehouse, including scenarios such as sell-and-leaseback, sale to a 3PL, exit and move to 3PL, and other viable variants. - Build a structured, comparable options assessment across financials (capex/opex, cash impacts), operations (service levels, continuity), risk, timeline, and sustainability/B Corp considerations (including social/workforce impacts). - Create decision-grade materials for senior leadership and the board, including a board deck, a robust financial model, and a written recommendation with clear trade-offs and assumptions. - Design and facilitate a decision workshop to align stakeholders, surface constraints, and drive to a documented decision with clear next steps. - Plan and deliver early execution milestones post-decision, including items such as 3PL sourcing/RFP, broker engagement, negotiation strategy, transition planning, workforce/social impact planning, and an implementation roadmap. - Establish governance, stakeholder cadence, and documentation to reduce ambiguity, prevent rework, and maintain pace to outcomes. - Manage risks and change carefully to ensure minimal disruption to ongoing operations while the project progresses. Deliverables & Milestones (Milestone-Based Payment) - Milestone 1: Strategic Options Pack (option set, assumptions, comparative assessment, risks, sustainability/workforce implications, and recommended shortlist). - Milestone 2: Decision Package (board deck, financial model, written recommendation, and facilitated decision workshop with documented outcomes). - Milestone 3+: Execution Steps (2–3 agreed deliverables such as RFP/broker engagement, negotiation plan, transition plan, workforce/social impact plan, and implementation timeline/roadmap). Required Qualifications - Deep, hands-on experience in warehouse management and warehouse operating models (owned site and/or outsourced 3PL models). - Proven project leadership delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives with senior stakeholder visibility. - Demonstrated experience working within B Corp and/or sustainability-led environments, including balancing commercial outcomes with social/workforce commitments. - Strong executive communication skills with the ability to present to and influence senior decision-makers (including board-level audiences). - Strong analytical capability, including building and explaining financial models and decision frameworks. - Excellent facilitation skills to run alignment and decision workshops and drive clear decisions. Preferred Qualifications - Experience with logistics/industrial real estate decisions in the Amsterdam port area or comparable European logistics hubs. - Track record leading 3PL sourcing, contracting, and transition programs with minimal service disruption. - Experience designing measurable success criteria and benefits tracking for strategic operations initiatives. Ways of Working - Hybrid working in Amsterdam; on-site presence as needed for stakeholder sessions, warehouse/partner engagement, and key workshops. - Outcome-based delivery with clear milestones, documented decisions, and a focus on speed, quality, and measurable results.
