Data Analytics Engineer About the Role ilionx is looking for a Data Analytics Engineer who can go beyond dashboard development and help organizations get greater value from their data. In this role, you will combine data engineering, analytics, consulting, and business understanding to design and implement scalable data-driven solutions. You will work within multidisciplinary teams, contribute to data architecture in Azure, develop powerful data models and dashboards, and increasingly apply AI and machine learning to automate processes and generate predictive insights. You will also act as a sparring partner for customers, coach colleagues, and contribute to professionalizing analytics teams, standards, best practices, and tools. Key Responsibilities Design and implement complex analytics solutions for customers. Take ownership of the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable data-driven applications. Contribute to data architecture using Azure services such as Fabric, Synapse, Data Factory, and Data Lake. Build data models and dashboards using Power BI and Tabular Editor. Develop and optimize analytics solutions using DAX, M Query, and SQL. Apply dimensional and logical data modeling techniques. Optimize performance and maintain high standards of data quality. Translate business requirements into practical analytics solutions. Advise customers on effective ways to use data and analytics. Deliver training to customers when required. Coach less-experienced colleagues and encourage knowledge sharing. Contribute to the development and professionalization of analytics teams. Help implement analytics standards, best practices, and tools. Explore AI and machine learning applications for automation and predictive insights. Required Qualifications Completed HBO or WO degree. Minimum 4 years of experience as a BI or Data Specialist. Strong expertise in data analysis, data modeling, and user-friendly data presentation. Experience with data services including Power BI, Fabric, Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake/Lakehouse, and Delta Lake. Strong experience with DAX, M Query, and SQL. Knowledge of dimensional and logical data modeling. Excellent command of Dutch, both written and spoken. Ability to translate business needs into practical data and analytics solutions. Preferred Qualifications Experience with AI and machine learning for process automation or predictive analytics. Experience with Tabular Editor. Experience coaching colleagues or supporting analytics teams. Experience implementing analytics standards, best practices, and tools. Experience advising and training customers. Core Responsibilities

You will design and implement scalable data-driven analytics solutions while contributing to data architecture using Azure services. Additionally, you will act as a consultant for customers, coach colleagues, and explore AI and machine learning applications to generate predictive insights.

Requirements

Candidates must hold an HBO or WO degree and possess at least 4 years of experience as a BI or Data Specialist. Strong expertise in SQL, DAX, M Query, and Azure data services is required, along with excellent command of the Dutch language.
