Job Description

Are you an experienced administrator who enjoys being the person who keeps everything organised and running smoothly? Do you take pride in staying on top of the details, anticipating what needs to be done and providing reliable support to a busy team? If you have solid experience in office administration or coordination and enjoy taking ownership of the day-to-day work that keeps an office functioning effectively, this could be the opportunity for you. Based in The Hague, you will play an important role in the day-to-day organisation and administration of our DACH & Benelux team. Working across our offices in The Hague and Brussels and closely with colleagues in Berlin, you will help ensure that our offices, meetings, administration and team activities are well organised and run smoothly. You will join an international organisation and work with colleagues and stakeholders across different countries, providing the dependable administrative support that enables the wider team to work effectively. Through your work supporting the team and helping our operations run smoothly, you will also contribute to MSC’s wider mission to safeguard the health of the world’s oceans and secure seafood supplies for the future. The role will provide direct support to the Program Director, DACH & Benelux and will directly look after our office facilities and administration in The Hague (NL) and in Brussels (BE). You will be a key component of the Benelux team, enabling it to function dynamically and efficiently. You will work closely with our team in Berlin (GER), and support on cross-cutting events to ensure MSC’s public-facing engagement runs smoothly and professionally. We’re looking for someone with strong administrative and organisational skills, who can manage and support a programme of work across multiple countries. You will also be engaging and working with teams elsewhere in Europe and beyond, so Dutch speakin, excellent English language skills are essential, and German speaking is a highly preferential. The MSC is committed to flexible working. The successful candidate will need to work from the Netherland office (in the Hague) for a minimum of 50% of their working time each month. The remaining time can be worked from home. During the onboarding process, hybrid work may require more in-office work than remote work. Core Responsibilities

The role involves managing day-to-day office administration and facilities for the DACH and Benelux teams across The Hague and Brussels. You will provide direct support to the Program Director and assist in organizing team activities and cross-cutting events to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

Candidates must possess strong administrative and organizational skills with the ability to work across multiple countries. Proficiency in Dutch and English is essential, while German language skills are highly preferred.
