About the Role As Senior Project Manager, you are responsible for the successful delivery of modular construction projects throughout Belgium. You will manage projects from the moment a contract is awarded through to final handover, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the agreed quality standards. You are the primary point of contact for the customer throughout the execution phase of the project. Once a contract has been awarded, you take ownership of all project communication between the customer and Algeco, ensuring clear coordination, timely decision-making, and effective stakeholder management. Working closely with Sales, Technical office, Operations, Planning, Procurement, and Service teams, you coordinate all project activities while managing customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership Lead the execution of modular construction projects from contract award through to final handover. Take full ownership of project delivery, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractual requirements. Serve as the single point of contact between the customer and Algeco during the project execution phase, ensuring consistent communication and effective stakeholder management. Build strong customer relationships by proactively managing expectations, resolving issues, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Coordinate multidisciplinary internal teams and external subcontractors to achieve project objectives. Project Planning & Execution Translate customer requirements into clear operational work packages for internal departments and external contractors. Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules. Coordinate project activities across multiple departments to ensure seamless project execution. Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans. Financial & Commercial Management Manage project budgets based on approved cost estimates and ensure effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle. Monitor project profitability and financial performance. Manage contract variations, change orders, claims, additional works, and project invoicing. Report project progress, financial status, risks, and performance to senior management. Procurement & Contractor Coordination Coordinate the procurement of project-specific materials and subcontracted services in accordance with company procedures. Manage subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations, safety standards, and project schedules. Health, Safety & Quality Ensure compliance with Belgian Health & Safety legislation and Algeco standards. Prepare project-specific Health & Safety documentation and site execution plans. Conduct site inspections and lead project kick-off and toolbox meetings. Ensure projects meet Algeco quality standards and contractual requirements. Sales Support Provide technical and commercial support to the Sales team during tender and quotation stages. Participate in customer meetings where technical expertise is required. Support solution development for complex customer projects What we're looking for Experience Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Construction, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or another relevant technical discipline. Minimum 5 years of experience managing construction or modular building projects. Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. Experience working with customers, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary project teams. Experience in modular construction, temporary buildings, or industrial projects is a strong advantage. Requirements
Requires a bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Construction or Engineering and at least 5 years of experience managing construction projects. Candidates must be fluent in English and Dutch or French, with proven leadership and financial management skills.
