Job Description

Sales & Project Coordinator At DRIFT, you'll build relationships with collectors, galleries, museums and partners around the world, helping turn sales opportunities into extraordinary artwork projects. If you're commercially minded, organised, and excited to take the next step in your sales career within the world of art, design and technology, we'd love to meet you. Full-time · Amsterdam We’re looking for a proactive Sales & Project Coordinator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who has already gained their first few years of experience in sales or client management and is ready to take on more responsibility within an international and creative environment. You’ll work across sales, client management and project coordination. You’ll develop and follow up on sales opportunities, build relationships with clients, and help ensure a smooth journey from the initial conversation through to installation and after-sales. You won’t be doing this alone. You’ll work closely with our experienced Gallery and Commission Liaison and collaborate with Marketing, Production, Development and other teams across DRIFT. At the same time, we’re looking for someone who is confident taking initiative, managing their own follow-ups and gradually taking ownership of opportunities and client relationships. What you’ll do Develop and follow up on new leads and sales opportunities, gradually building your own client portfolio. Build and maintain relationships with collectors, galleries, museums, institutions and other partners. Support the preparation of proposals, presentations, quotations and other client-facing sales materials. Participate in client meetings, presentations and follow-ups throughout the sales process. Coordinate internally to gather pricing, timelines, technical information and other project details required to move opportunities forward. Proactively track open actions, deadlines and next steps and ensure opportunities continue moving through the sales pipeline. Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in our CRM, including opportunities, contacts, meetings and follow-up actions. Support sales pipeline reviews, reporting and forecasting. Act as a point of contact for clients as projects transition from sales into production, installation and delivery. Coordinate communication between clients, the Sales team and internal project teams throughout the execution of a project. Maintain strong client relationships after installation and coordinate questions, requests and follow-up actions with the relevant teams. Identify opportunities for repeat business, upselling and further client engagement. Contribute to improving the overall client journey and the way we structure and manage our sales processes. Who you are You have around 2–4 years of relevant experience in sales, business development, account management, client services or a similar commercial role. Experience within the luxury, art, design, architecture or another high-end client environment is a strong advantage. You have already gained experience working directly with clients and are ready to take more ownership of your own sales opportunities. You are commercially minded and enjoy developing relationships and turning conversations into opportunities. You are proactive and don’t need to be reminded to follow up on actions, leads or deadlines. You are organised and comfortable keeping track of multiple clients, opportunities and projects at the same time. You are a confident communicator and feel comfortable interacting with international clients and stakeholders. You enjoy working with different internal teams and bringing together the right information to move an opportunity forward. You are comfortable working with CRM systems and structured sales processes. You are curious, eager to learn and motivated to further develop your commercial skills. You have a genuine interest in contemporary art, design and technology. You have an excellent command of English. You are eligible to work in the Netherlands with a valid visa or permit. It's a plus if you have: Experience working with collectors, galleries, museums, architects, designers or other high-end clients. Experience within the international art, luxury or design market. Experience with project-based or consultative sales. Experience coordinating client projects or deliveries alongside your sales responsibilities. Fluency in an additional language. What we offer The opportunity to develop your sales career within an internationally recognised art studio. Direct exposure to collectors, galleries, museums, institutions and partners around the world. The opportunity to gradually take ownership of your own leads, sales opportunities and client relationships. A unique role where sales goes beyond a transaction: you’ll follow projects from the first conversation through production, installation and beyond. The chance to work closely with multidisciplinary teams across art, technology, production and operations. A dynamic, collaborative and non-traditional working environment where your ideas and initiative are valued. Freedom to grow within the role and develop your commercial skills and understanding of the international art market. A creative and talented team working on ambitious projects around the world. About DRIFT

Industry: Artists and Writers

Company size: 11-50 employees

Dutch artists Lonneke Gordijn (1980) and Ralph Nauta (1978) founded studio DRIFT in 2007. With a multi-disciplinary team of 40, they work on experiential sculptures, installations and performances. DRIFT manifests the phenomena and hidden properties of nature with the use of technology in order to learn from the Earth’s underlying mechanisms and to re-establish our connection to it. With both depth and simplicity, DRIFT’s works of art illuminate parallels between man-made and natural structures through deconstructive, interactive, and innovative processes. DRIFT works bring people, space and nature on to the same frequency, uniting audiences with experiences that inspire a reconnection to our planet. Their work has been exhibited at Milwaukee Art Museum (2025), Palazzo Strozzi (2024), LUMA Foundation (2024), Central Park New York (2023), Centre Pompidou (2022), The Shed NYC (2021); Stedelijk Museum (2018); Art Basel (2017, 2021) Victoria & Albert Museum (2009, 2015) amongst others. DRIFT is represented by Pace Gallery, Carpenters Workshop Gallery and Creative Artists Agency (CAA).
