Electrical and instrumentation Supervisor - ref. JOB-1585 Overview For a major industrial project based in Rotterdam, we are looking for an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Supervisor to join the site construction team. Reporting to the Lead E&I Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising all electrical and instrumentation construction activities while ensuring compliance with HSE, quality, technical, and schedule requirements. You will coordinate construction teams, subcontractors, vendors, and engineering disciplines to ensure successful project execution through construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning. Responsibilities Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and site safety regulations. Supervise all Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) construction activities on site. Monitor construction progress against the project schedule and proactively identify potential delays. Support the Lead E&I Supervisor and the Planner in coordinating construction and pre-commissioning activities. Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, engineering teams, and other project stakeholders. Verify that installations comply with project drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards. Ensure inspections are carried out in accordance with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements (MoS), and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs). Monitor design changes (AFCs), certification activities (including ATEX), extra works, and quality audits. Organize technical coordination meetings with engineering teams and provide daily reports covering inspections, work progress, and outstanding issues. PROFILE Technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Automation, CIRA, or a related discipline. Minimum 10 years of experience supervising E&I activities on industrial projects. Proven experience on EPC/EPCM projects within the energy, chemical, petrochemical, or process industries sectors. Strong knowledge of construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities. Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical drawings, loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, and E&I documentation. Good knowledge of quality standards, ITPs, Method Statements (MoS), JSAs, and ATEX requirements. Strong coordination and communication skills in a multicultural project environment.
